I bought this as I was looking for a privacy screen for my 2020 M1 MacBook Air (13 inches) when I was on public transport.What I like: I like that this isn't one of those privacy screens where you have to stick things to your laptop for it to work. It attaches magnetically to the top of the laptop screen (by the camera) and is very easy to peel off and put back in its case when finished with. It effectively blocks people from seeing my screen if they're at an angle or sitting next to me, which has reduced my anxiety around people seeing my screen. It fits my laptop exactly and I'm very happy with it.What I don't like: I don't like that, to get the screen to the same brightness that it was before I put the screen protector on, I have to turn my brightness up to 100%. While I only tend to have the privacy screen on in short bursts, I imagine that it would reduce my battery life because of this if I had it on for hours. I also don't like that it makes my screen visibly lower quality and grainy, though I suppose that can't be avoided for something that is designed to go over your screen.I've never tried shutting the laptop lid with it on, though it does protrude a little from the screen at the top so I don't imagine it would shut totally.Overall I would recommend if you're looking for something to use for either short commutes or with a charger handy and you don't mind a bit of a grainy screen, because the higher brightness that it requires will drain your battery faster eventually.
