Works perfect BUT you need to have mechanical aptitude
This rebuild kit worked perfectly BUT you need the following:1) Mechanical aptitude2) patience3) Extra rail grease (white lithium grease)I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty. This took me about 6 hours to complete start to finish. You have to remove the headliner, completely. There are some decent videos on YouTube for this. REMOVE THE SUNROOF GLASS AFTER HEADLINER IS OUT. Disconnect the drain hoses from the sunroof assembly. I also blew the hoses out with air. Mine has 9 bolts that hold up the sunroof assembly. One you have the assembly out and on a table or bench, just carefully read each step. Pay close attention to how the old parts come out. I took lots of pictures of the original assembly as a reference. The hardest part, which I wish I would’ve taken a pic of is, setting the new rail glide assembly in the closed position. When you use the 1/8 drill bit to align the slide and glass mount bracket, the drill bit has to line up with another small hole in the glass mount bracket. Once the holes are lined up, you should be able to see clear through them. I did not get this right the first time. When you replace the assembly and re-install the glass, the glass should be sitting in the fully closed position (pretty much level with the roof). I also cleaned out the the rails with brake cleaner and applied fresh grease during the rebuild, they send you a small container of grease, but it was not enough. I give the instructions a 6 out of 10 for lack of detailed pics. After my install was completed, I tested the sun roof before fully buttoning up the headliner. You will need to slide the headliner back in because of the wiring harnesses you’ll need to plug back in for the sunroof, but do not fasten in place until you’re sure it works. I couldn’t be happier with how well this kit works. It is definitely better quality than the original. If you’re not used to wrenching on your vehicles, do not attempt this yourself. It is very tedious. DON’T SKIP ANY STEPS

Works great on 06 Jeep Liberty
I put this in over a year ago and have had no problems and no leaks! Removal is really a 2 person job but can be done alone. I didn't have any help so I didn't take head liner out. If I recall I removed the grab handles, interior lights, visors. You must also remove motor harness and drains and screws for the sunroof tray. I dropped the headliner down and disconnected what I needed to and slid tray out the back. The tray is bigger than you think and awkward for 1 person. A rivet gun would help but you could also use small screws on the new track. There's also a small notation in the instructions about alignment during assembly. I think i used a small screwdriver to keep holes aligned. This is not a hard job just time consuming. Take a picture of old assembly if you can. Mine was broken but I had to piece back together before I put new one on just to see how it looked. Slide back in and hook everything back up, especially the drains. Headliner looked a little creased from where I didn't take it out but went back to normal after a couple of weeks. Good product

Could use better instructions
After installing this kit, the sunroof works great again. However, it was not a quick and easy job.My old mechanism had fallen apart so badly that I didn't have anything to guide me in how to re-assemble the parts. The instructions included with this assembly were only minimally helpful, but in fairness, the Jeep service manual was not much better. After I took the track out, I was able to figure out how it worked after trying some different configurations. Had to remove the entire headliner to get the track out. Nothing was particularly complex but it was time consuming. All this took me over 8 hours. Now that I've done it once, I could probably do it in half that time.

Exact fit for an 02 Liberty
Used this kit to completely rebuild the OEM sunroof mechanism on our 2002 Jeep Liberty, everything worked exactly like it should, instructions were pretty clear, parts seemed like reasonable quality, great fix so far!

Dependable. All parts needed in this kit and instructions
We’ve had this installed in our Jeep for almost two years and not one hiccup. The only minor error, my fault, was I forgot to connect the sunroof cover to the mechanism, thus when opening sunroof, it did not open inside cover. I quickly corrected this without have to totally remove unit.NOTE: clean all surfaces real good. Take your time and use the supplied grease. There are instructions (slightly confusing) but YouTube offers several videos on this. Luckily, on our Jeep, removing unit was tricky watching all the wires and drain tubes, but it went out the rear tailgate easy enough. I was told that some vehicles require removing windshield to get this out, so check before ordering.

A lot of work but fixed!
You have to take out the headliner which is a lot of work in this vehicle. Especially since I have never done that before. You tube was a big help. Once you get the entire sunroof assembly out of the vehicle this kit contains decent directions and all the hardware necessary.

Avoid if you’ve never done this…
Directions are as vague as it gets. Parts go in fine, but absolutely no details on fitment or calibration of top.

Works Great on my 06
Back of the jeep made an easy space to work. Put things together the way I took them apart, as others said most of the time is figuring out how everything moves together. Took most of the day, went slow, was careful not to break anything. Was not sure if everything was gonna work in the end but it did.Opted to leave my ceiling exposed, not only is it easier to see for leaks around drainage tubes but it looks way cooler. Project was fun.
