love the color and the gloss shine. product worked well for my 350 gallon minnow bait tank in the store. with the high gloss it has, it made it easy to wipe and clean the tank went needed. product has awesome durability and adhesion to the fiberglass tank. product was easy to apply and mix the two part together.

A must-have for stock tank pools
I purchased 2 sets of the pond shield for our 8ft stock tank pool & it was the perfect amount of coverage. I (precisely) followed the directions for galvanized metal application & it came out beautifully perfect. A few pro tips I gathered from multiple blogs, articles & You Tube videos: 1. This absolutely MUST be applied under the perfect atmospheric conditions. 80% humidity & 98 degree weather in Houston was far below ideal so I improvised with a large fan that redirected the AC from inside my house to the attached garage. It was definitely NOT energy efficient but the only way the pond shield could be applied before January. It also helped to keep debris & bugs from falling in by doing this project in the (extremely well ventilated) garage. 2. I used 6 cans of Rustoleum self etching primer spray paint to completely cover the inside. Be sure to wear a mask & shop vac the dry dust that will be left behind before applying the epoxy so you have a clean surface. 3. Definitely use alcohol to thin out the mixture. The instructions say it’s an optional step but for this application it helped make the epoxy more spreadable & extended the time to apply it. 4. Low nap fabric rollers are a must. Foam rollers will disintegrate immediately. 6. 2 coats makes the epoxy thick enough that it won’t easily be scratched or damaged but you’ll still have noticeable drips on the sides. Once it’s full of water you won’t notice. 7. Apply epoxy to the sides first (both 1st & 2nd coats) so you can apply from the inside of the stock tank & make sure you get into every groove & ridge. Then apply to the bottom from outside of the tank with a roller on an extension pole. 8. I sprinkled a little bit of leveling sand on top of the final coat for slip resistance & I’m soooo glad I did. This stuff is super slippery to stand on when it’s completely submerged in water. The sand in the epoxy has saved quite a few butts. 9. Wait a solid 24 -48 hours (depending on how humid it is outside) before putting water in. I waited 4 days just to be safe. 10. Even with 2 coats of epoxy paint on the sides, underwater magnetized LED lights have no problem attaching. Overall the entire project turned out better than we could’ve ever hoped for due, in large part, to Pond Shield.

Awesome look and feel
Great product. Used it for a birdbath, inside and out. The product self-levels as you put it on. The blue color is fabulous. Cleaned the birdbath first with muriatic acid, then used a paint brush. You can go over areas, and it makes it even more beautiful as long as it is within an hour of application. It dries to a hard glossy look that looks just like ceramic. Don't spill it on other surfaces, although we got it on the kool-deck of the patio, but it came off with a putty knife to scrape it. Probably best to wear disposable gloves (I didn't). Used rubbing alcohol to get it off hands, then washed thorough with warm water and soap and hands were fine. Would definitely buy again!

MISLEADING CLAIM REGARDING COVERAGE; COLOR FADES AND PROMOTES ALGAE
Purchased this product 2 years ago. Was instantly disappointed with the inaccuracy of the coverage claim -- the advertised “60 sq ft coverage” is MISLEADING at best. This is an acute problem because the product dries in about 30 minutes and, if you need to do an additional application, you have <10 hours to do so before you need to sand the old epoxy. Realizing this, I called the company to, if nothing else, make sure my application process was not the issue. I recieved no support. Now, 2 years on, the product has weathered poorly so I am ofering this review on how the product ages in a real-world setting and including some detail on the misleading claim on product coverage. MISLEADING COVERAGE: Yes, you technically can spread 1.5 qt of a liquid over a 60 square foot surface at 10mils thickness. In theory. Unfortunately, under any reasonable definition of "real-world application," you are more likely to see 30 or less square feet. ABOUT ONE-HALF OF WHAT YOU PAID FOR. Unless you are in a laboratory at 72 degrees, coating a perfectly smooth, non-porous and perfectly flat surface, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY you will see 60 sq ft. In reality, you will lose product in the cans, mixing containers (3-4), brush or roller (unless you squeegee), paint tray (unless you pour), settling/drips, and some unavoidable uneven application. If you have corners or vertical walls, the issue is compounded. I just wish the company would be more up-front with what they must know is a reality, given this product has a limited lifespan after mixing and at that point it is too late. If you must buy, budget for 30-50% extra. LONGEVITY: Out of the can, product appears high quality. Unfortunately, over time the color fades quickly (~2 years in partial sun, under a screen cover). Now, the product has promoted algae growth greater than unfinished concrete in same environment.

Gets the job done
Used for the inside of an ice bath. Was pretty hard to paint on, and pretty expensive, but has held up great for months. The color looks nice and bright. Dried pretty quickly and covered a good area.

Works awesome!
First off what I wish id known was NOT to use Rust-Oleum self etching primer. It says that in the instructions but I didn't come across that info before hand. I think I wouldve gotten a smoother end result if I had. This stock tank is being used as a fish tank so it's fine but if it was for a pool or something you wanted super smooth, use a different brand self etching primer. That being said the process was pretty easy overall. Seems daunting but the instructions are clear . Also buy a squeegee for large pieces like stock tanks. Worked very well and combined with a roller was super easy to apply. I'll be getting this again for more projects like the inside of my wheelbarrow ect..

UPDATE: Easier than I expected - stock tank
UPDATE: My opinion has changed a year later! We stored the pool empty and upside down and just turned it over. The color had badly faded, we had a crack along the center seam that rusted, as well as the entire lip of the pool. The coating is also flaking off. Perhaps this is a problem with storage - we should have coated the entire lip of the pool with the coating, and covered it all with a tarp for storage. instead of redoing the coating I ordered an 8' pool liner from Amazon instead. I dropped chlorine in our stock tank a year ago and had large rusty spots to deal with as we got the pool ready for spring. I watched tons of videos and read reviews, here's what worked for me: 1. Two 1.5 liter sets of pond shield for coverage of the inside of an 8' round stock tank 2. Primed inside of the tank with about 6 cans of Rustoleum filler primer 3. I did the sides first, both coats, about 2 hours apart. Sides took one full kit. Each kit comes with 4 cups of part A and 2 cups of part B; the ratio needed for each mix is 2A to 1B. I tried a mini roller and a full-sized roller and preferred the mini because of the indentations around the sides of the tank. 4. Temp matters. I did the first coat at 1pm and second coat at 3pm on a sunny 75*, low humidity day and the second coat got tacky much faster. The alcohol thinning step says optional but is NOT optional IMHO. 5. For the bottom I did the "smooth" application - one coat, spread with a squeegee and finished with a large roller on a handle. Because my tank wasn't level in the grass I did some panicking but it worked out fine. I wore medical gloves doubled up and used my finger to really get in the corners and center seam. 6. I reserved some of the second batch (the bottom) for touchups, and I'm glad I did because some bubbles formed and you could see primer. My ratio for the bottom was about 3.5 c A to 1.75c B and 1/8 c. 91% rubbing alcohol, spread with squeegee in one coat. The remainder mixed perfectly for touchups a few hours later. 7. Acetone is absolutely required for cleanup. If you move quickly, you can remove from paintbrushes and the sqeegee but the rollers are trash. I left one roller cover on too long and had to toss the roller handle and all. ***EDIT: a few months of use and it's holding up great. One thing I would do differently. As the epoxy started to cure, I hurriedly applied it to a few spots, including the seam down the middle and some areas that needed a touchup. Apparently that process of beginning to cure had changed the product, and I have yellow discoloration at each of those spots (see second photo). In hindsight I should have just quit when the product started to get sticky and call it a day. Items I used: * 100% acetone (about 2 cups total) * 91% isopropyl alcohol (maybe 1/2 cup total) * Paint mixing containers (two that are 1 QT for the side coats and one that is 2QT for the bottom coat) * Wooden mixing sticks * Long handled paint roller * Long handled squeegee * Short handled mini paint roller * Mini paint roller covers, low nap (cabinet and door or "smooth" finish) * Regular paint roller cover, low nap * Disposable gloves - double up if you can * Screwdriver to open can * Shop vac to clean out any leaves that blew in :) * Large garbage bag to set supplies on during painting

PRODOTTO OTTIMO / PREZZO (ATTUALMENTE) ASSURDO
