Fits Sam Adams bottles and other homebrew bottles
The biggest problem i found with some reviews for these caps was whether they fit used Sam Adams bottles or other homebrew bottles that are of the same size. I am very happy to say they fit perfectly. The Sam Adams bottles i had(old cherry wheat bottles) allowed me to connect these quite easily. The fit on these bottles seemed be a little bit snugger that on the other homebrew bottles i have. Both types of bottles seem to hold pressure quite well. I am working on a 2 month pressure test comparing these to counter pressure filled capped bottles of both types and the swing tops of both types. I will update this review when i know how they hold up. So far the week that beer was bottle in here showed no sign of carb loss over that time.If they continue to hold pressure i will be buying lots more. The ability to remove these from bottles and reattach to new bottles (i.e. if you drop a bottle and break it) will probably save lots of money over other flip top bottles if the will hold pressure.I would definitely recommend these to anyone that wants the convenience of flip tops without having to pay 30 dollars a 12 pack if they have old homebrew bottles already.Cheers and happy brewing!Edit Dec 2022: So I forgot to update this review. Happy to say I'm still using these alongside some grolsch bottles. I had these hold pressure easily for 6 months. Works great!

Cheap product for at home fermenting
This product was reasonably priced considering I can just put these on old bottles. The cost of new bottles were 2 to 3 times as much which made this choice a smarter one for people new to fermenting. But getting these buggers onto the bottles was not an easy feat. Take a look at the directions on the listing as well as the video. We were fighting with the tiny screw and washer only to find out we were putting them on upside down . After watching the video we figured it out but that was after hours of fighting with them. The price is worth the hassle. Just wish sellers included instructions in the product or at least a note that says "check the listing for directions ".

Function and Quality
If these bands just 1/6" or 1-1/2mm more material on one side of the band it would fit most wine bottles and beer bottles being used today. This is why I gave it a 4 rating. By having this extra material on one side a customer could select which side would give a tighter seal. Other than that the bands are super. They seal well and I would recommend them.

needs a little elbow grease but they work
These were a bit tricky to put together on my Sam Adams beer bottles but they work just fine.

Does not seal well under pressure
Unfortunately they don't work as well as I wanted. I am brewing water kefir and kombucha, storing them in my pantry. I purchased 9 flip top lid bottles with the lids permanently attached. These are awesome. I wanted to add to my count by reusing some used beer bottles. These will absolutely not work with a twist off top like my Shiner bottles, but they did fit with some other bottles that have a tapered part at the top, see photos. But after a two week secondary fermentation, these bottles have little to no carbonation, and you can see a touch of leakage. The difference is, the rubber grommet is more like a washer, than the other lids, so carb is leaking out between the plastic and rubber, not the bottle and rubber. If I could get them slightly tighter, they may work.

These work great once you find the right bottles!
These work best on beer bottles that are not screw top, just because the height of the threads is very short and doesn't place the ring low enough to create the proper tension to seal the bottle. I've tried to illustrate that in the picture attached. Also, you need a long, consistent-width neck on the bottle. The third bottle in my photo is too fat, creating a sloping neck up to the top of the bottle. I've successfully used this on some wine bottles but not others. You will probably have to experiment a bit, but these things are relatively easy to get on and off without more than a Phillips head screwdriver.

Not fit for purpose
The item I got does not fit any of the bottles I have, in multiple sizes. The video makes it look easy to install these, but that metal neck band is VERY STIFF and needs pliers to squeeze it shut. Mine aren't circular, either, they have corners. The screw hole is barely big enough for the screw and you can't just push it through to the other hole, I had to screwdriver it through and yhen use pliers to get the band tight enough to get the screw to feed into the opposing hole. After a full 30 minutes of struggle to get one installed on just one bottle, I couldn't get the thing to close shut. I won't be able to use these at all.

Fits sams adams bottle and coke bottle
The product fits perfectly create a nice seal on both Coca-Cola and Sam’s Adams bottles, although the fit on the Coca-Cola bottle is a little loose meaning there’s a little movement in the metal ring that connects to the bottle. And Samuel Adams bottle it closes a little too tight. I don’t see how this was a frequently returned item. I wanted to save money on the cost of pop top bottles and these definitely do that.
