Debox DEKSB-001 4 pole connector block junction box (Pack of 10)

I bought this to manage my doorbell wiring. Pleased with the purchase. Fairly simple to use.

This junction box is a bit flimsy in construction, a little too lightweight. It is almost impossible to make the cable entry points waterproof and in my view it should have come with a couple of sizes of rubber grommets to insert around the cable and round cut outs not double D shaped ones are each end. I do not believe the feedback that is suitable for outside use nor waterproof, as to me it is not. Now the good part, it is also a very quick, neat way of joining cables and of modest cost. Used in the correct and IMV dry place it did a good job.

I had a load of LED flood lights to wire in a string to light up a barn. Unfortunately I ordered 1.5mm rubber cable. Getting these to loop in and out of these boxes was a pain. I would suggest 1mm or 0.75mm as the limit for stranded flex.

Not what I was expecting as it's a little bulky. Obviously my fault for not being more careful with the measurement they gave. But it is flimsy and no good with 1.5mm cable. Not recommended!

Bought two of these 1 to replace an old round terminal box which had seen better days and the second to connect a fan to a switch. There is plenty of space inside for cables and cut outs at each end ( if this is being used outside don't forget to seal around the cables with a silicone sealer to prevent moisture getting in. There is a 4 way terminal block fitted rated at 5 Amp so only really suited to lighting.

Very poor quality item made from thin flexible plastic. My requirement was for a low current 12V dc application, but I would not use these on mains voltages as cable clamps are not very effective. About 30p worth of materials in this item, so very over priced. I am an electrical engineer with 40 years experience and this is one of the worst quality supposedly mains rated items I have seen. Not recommended.
