She could have written it, because her experience was so similar to the author's. She would have also made the same wisecracks about some of the less pleasant aspects of suddenly finding one's independence gone. It was good to learn that my friend's disabilities were nothing out of the ordinary - she is in the normal range, as well as ways to adjust and modify for them.The section that is told from the spouse's point of view held less value, as my friend is a widow, but it may prove useful for others.It is an easy and relatively quick read. I read it in spurts, while my visiting my friend and she was sleeping.
