I bought this to replace the grate in my very old charcoal grill that had began falling apart due to old age and severe rust. This was the best looking and most compatible option I could find and it has absolutely been a great replacement and extended the life of my grill! I love the attachable handles on the right and left side as they allow me to adjust the height of the grates to help regulate the temperatures I am cooking on. The only con I have with this is that it definitely began to show signs of rust very quickly. I do keep my grill outside, and it is uncovered 99% of the time, because it is 11 years old - so some of the speed of rusting may have been attributed to that. However, the high heat lump charcoal I use also seemed to discolor the grates after just 1 cook. All of those cons aside, I have had this and used it for well ove a full season now and it looks like it will hold up for a while so I am overall very pleased. For the price, this is absolutely worthwhile as it is far cheaper than replacing the full grill!

This replacement Ash Pan 27" tray is made with thicker sheet metal and bars than the one that came with my Char-Griller... The original part lasted well for more than 5 years, but this replacement is heavier duty so I am expecting it will last even longer and be less prone to sagging bars from.the intense heat of direct contact with the charcoal. An excellent quality purchase, but look out for special offers as the price varies wildly with the seasons!
