I had been searching for something to put in a narrow, fairly dark entry hall. The table I had in there narrowed the space too much. After I searched for a while, Amazon popped up with "you might like this!" and I did! This bookcase is airy and whimsical in shape, narrow enough to allow plenty of space in the hallway and beautiful, too. For the price you can't beat it. Some of the older reviews mentioned needing stickers to cover the assembly holes, but mine came with them. The bookcase was easy to assemble, and once the stickers were on and I put decorative items in place I found I don't really notice the holes at all. Is it an expensive, super high quality piece of furniture? No. Is it a sturdy, beautiful design that works perfectly for me? Yes! :-)

I love this bookshelf. Assembly took a bit of time but was very straightforward (helps to have two people). I spent more time just organizing my books on it than it took to assemble. And I could fit so many books it’s amazing. I love the overhanging sections as a way to put decor pieces and make my bookshelf look even more gorgeous. I got the dark brown wood color and it is really gorgeous, so glad I chose it over the black. It feels very sturdy and has been doing great stuffed with all my books. I’m honestly so impressed by the look and quality for the price, I would highly recommend it. It’s simple but so much more interesting to look at than a standard bookshelf.

I was hesitant to purchase this shelf unit after reading some of the negative reviews, but it was the only one I could find that fit my needs and dimensions. I have had copious experience with Ikea assembly and found this item to be similar and simple. Quality was only slightly inferior to Ikea. Some of the pieces were dirty and had to be wiped down. None of the pieces were damaged except for the small chip on the edge of one shelf, as shown in a picture I included. As pictured, it was corrected with a paint pen. Many have asked if this shelf can be used as a room divider with the side of the shelf anchored to the wall. This is exactly how I utilized the shelf. That said, it is far too lightweight to be used in any capacity without anchoring, and hardware was included. However, for a clean look with no brackets visible. I simply drilled pilot holes through the three side sections touching the wall and anchored into a stud in the wall with long wood screws, then painted the screw heads white. As seen in my included photos the metal cams are quite large and obvious. I chose to get the vinyl stickers to cover them, but again a paint pen could camouflage them nicely, and I may decide to try that in the future. I am pleased with purchase, just don't expect the best quality.

For the price range, its a decent shelf. It's quite tall and easy to put together. I was able to do it alone. I love that it is not a standard looking shelf.The cons for me:-There are no written instructions paired with the picture instructions, and some of the images were not the most clear.-The order to each step is not necessarily the most efficient. EXAMPLE: It was easier to put screw A into an unattached shelf before attaching it on with screw E.-All of the holes for screw A were too small, and caused cracking.-All of the holes for the wooden dowels (C) were too big and did not hold the dowels snugly. (Pretty certain holes for A and C should be switched.)-I ordered a black shelf, and there is nothing to cover the very noticeable silver screws.-Really minor, but wish the shelves were just 1in taller. The purses and Living Dead Dolls on top just BARELY do not fit, so it would not be suitable to display my entire collection.

Love the way it looks. Each individual bookshelf (2 total) comes with 2 spare pieces for each assembly part (like screws and stuff of that nature) so that if any piece is broke you have extras which worked out as a couple pieces were broken but I had 4 total spares of each piece.I am a small girl who is terrible at following directions and I put this together without assistance with ease. Looks great, and was easy to put together. Exactly what I wanted.

I used a few angle brackets to secure the bookcase to studs in the wall. Very sturdy result. I use it for display of antiques and ceramic items. I used the bottom shelf for heavy books. No idea whether it would be OK with books on the upper shelves.

The quality of wood & materials is very good. Instructions are very easy to follow. A non handyman like myself can assemble it in an hour.

Easy to assemble, beautiful

Ok so— these shelves are super cool looking and not that cheap, I paid 400$ for 2. What I didn’t expect was how badly they were configured!! Lowkey could’ve gone to ikea instead.HERES THE REAL TEA:They tell you to build the shelf on its side and from top to bottom, already what?? It’s impossible to build the shelf on its side, it’s heavy and the dowels don’t really fit well because you can’t put enough pressure. The pieces to tighten the dowels do nothing (just btw). The manufacturers basically want there to be no screws showing when it’s right side up and that’s a cool thought BUT they don’t account for how unsturdy the shelves are with screws on only one side 😭😂!I built the first shelf exactly as they told me to, when I stood it up with a friend, it fell apart (predictably) because there’s only screws for one side of each shelf and the dowels do NOTHING. Basically if you hope to put books on this, you will need to add 24 screws. I added all 24 to the first shelf at once and was fuming, thank god I have a DRILL. If you don’t have one, you’ll suffer lol.I’m building the second now and am adding the extra 4 screws per shelf as I go, it’s very sturdy so far. Still, impossible to build on its side so you’ll have to flip it all kinds of way to build it and screw in the extra screws etc. The seller gave me 40$ off because of the bad design.Good luck :)
