We ordered this product to take with us to the beach for vacation in southwest Florida. On our first day at the beach the winds were 10-15 mph and gusting, but with the sandbags and stakes was able to set up with no problem with two people and held up great! Was nice having a shade and wind screen with plenty of room for 2. When we returned from vacation I contacted Pacific Breeze via their web page regarding a perceived difference in 2 separate but similar items they sold on Amazon for different prices. Their response was immediate and absolutely exceeded my expectations. If you need a solid beach shelter that is easy to put up, take down, and stay up in windy conditions while providing ample wind and sun protection, this is a great unit. If you want a vendor that offers exceptional customer service, Pacific Breeze should be your choice.

I first saw their products one day at the beach and someone had their XL Beach tent. I then went on Amazon and saw that they had a few variations of the product but opted for this Sand and Surf shelter because I wanted the option to have all open sides or have partially enclosed. REVIEW OF PRODUCT: It is lightweight as they advertise, its not overly cumbersome and can be carried with ease! The setup was really a 'breeze"! The first time we used it was to watch fireworks this past 4th of July and people came up to us and even joked at my husband saying that there was no way we were going to get this up in less than a minute! But we did it! and the others at the park were impressed that they asked us where we got it. This shelter is very versatile and has many uses and functions when you want the shelter on the beach. I got this one because I wanted to have the option to have all eyes on my child when we are at the beach and not have to peek out above the tent to see behind us and this shelter allowed that option. I love how we can have it opened on all sides and also have the option to cover up sides. I am one of those people that like to have multiple functions for an item and this definitely accomplishes that! The quality of the product is phenomenal definitely NOT CHEAP. I know that you guys see other beach tents out there but what sets them apart is the awesome customer service i got when I reached out them on their website to ask if I could purchase a 3rd panel for my sand and surf to get that extra privacy that their tent offers when needed. They got back to me in less than 24 hours and THEY OFFERED TO SEND ME ONE FOR FREE!

Nice tent, large enough for our family of four. Easy to put up however I agree with other reviewers that it's difficult to get back into bag on take down. My only complaint is that it gets very hot under the tent. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

This tent is AMAZING! I was really intimidated to use this tent at first, because I was convinced it was going to be too difficult to lug to the beach, put up, and take down. I wouldn’t even take it out of the box. I was WRONG. After a couple of days of sun burns for my 4 kids and myself, I put my big girl pants on and pulled the tent out of the box. I was surprised at the decent size and weight of the tent in the carrying case, and I was easily able to carry it along with a couple of beach chairs down to the beach. Setting up and breaking down the tent was a breeze. Almost every day I had someone come tell me how impressed they were with the tent and the ease of set up and take down. They were really blown away that I could get the giant tent in the “small” carrying bag. My only regret is that I was scared to pull it out the first couple of days on the beach. One of my best purchases ever, and that’s saying a lot! So glad I made the investment!

This is a pretty good beach shelter. It is large and is easy and quick to put up and take down. I did have to use sandbags and tie it down on one side to keep the wind from causing it to collapse. I tied it to my beach cart. That worked fine. I also made sandbags out of 1 gallon zip lock bags and used them all week. It does only come with 2 walls which was sufficient for us. I highly recommend this shelter. It is worth the extra cost.

Purchased this with high hopes.. however, needed to wait till warmer out and of course out of warranty period.. figures.. anyway, initially it looked great. but the hinge elbow pins used on this are very flimsy.. and one of them bent just from unpacking the tent for the first time. they used a very cheap aluminum for them and not a steel elbow pin for where the legs unfold .. so it bent badly and came out of the elbow. I was able to bend it back enough to get it back in and get tent up.. however with a little wind at the beach.. it bent again and is now un-useable. not happy.. wasted $110. Outside of cheap materials.. it does look nice.

I bought the Deluxe XL tent. I just used it for three days on the beach in Destin and it was perfect. It allows wind flow while blocking a good section of sun - 3 of use were able to be shade covered. Way better than a beach umbrella or one of those small tents and only slightly heavier (still easy to carry). I especially like that you can roll up the bottom, so your feet are still in the sand. If you have four people that need shade then bring a beach umbrella to supplement this and you'll be covered.

Can't handle more than a five mile wind, when gusts of wind comes up it breaks down to the ground! Pretty disappointed, but works well keeping out the sun. I decided it works better if you can seriously anchor it down with something heavy or some serious twist into the sand spikes! Get 4 (for each corner) for the side strings and run the string around the poles near the bottom. Not to difficult to fold
