Good quality, but the rubber pads can be slippery
Overall this is a really good quality product. Way better than the plastic travel stand, with the bending legs, that I bought before this one. My one complaint is that the rubber they used for all the pads is a bit slippery. I have to pay attention that my ukes are put in it really straight, although last week one did tip over and the headstock/tuners hit the uke sitting next to it. Considering all the materials used in non-slip cell phone pads, etc.. I would have thought they use a better gripping material.Pros:It folds up relatively smallit's metal and well builtthe legs adjust for different widths of ukes and mini guitarsIt looks goodCons:The pads are slipperyI would like it just a tad taller for instrument stabilityI would buy this one again and recommend it to friends, but I will also be keeping my eyes open for one that grips my instruments better. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Ideal ukulele stand - light, rugged, pretty, adjustable, quality
I finally got serious about learning to play ukulele, and so after borrowing several ukes off and on over the years to dabble, I bought my own, a concert size Snail model. And after constantly leaving it on sofas where people wanted to sit, I decided my new precious instrument it needed its own spot other than in the zippered case it came with. The Aroma AUS-008 instrument stand is ideal for my needs. The silicone-rubber pads that contact the bottom and back grip the instrument securely and mar-free, and the feet adjust for the depth/thickness of the uke body to keep it snug and upright. Its lean-back angle is just right for keeping the instrument from tipping backward and yet display it well. (I'm fond of my uke's ebony finish and woodwork.) The back pad pivots to keep flat against the instrument body. Overall fit and finish are quite good: all sliding components move snugly without any play, and the cam-lock levers are crisp; no clicks or creaks, and joints move smoothly and evenly with no wobble. In fact, the left and right legs spread out in concert at identical angles, as the two are coupled internally by gears (wow!).The bonus about this stand is how compact it is when folded up; I was surprised when the package arrived how little space it took up among the other merchandise I ordered. It could ..almost.. fit in the accessories pocket of my concert uke case, were it not for all the stuff I put there already, but it can certainly be chucked into a backpack or anything that carries sheet music. When folded, the lean angle of the back support matches the angle of the feet, making the silicone surfaces mesh perfectly. The articulated joints are sturdy, and there are no sharp edges to snag or poke holes in fabric. The aluminum makes it very light, 9.2 oz (62g).So, would I buy it again? Yes. In fact, I just did.I chose the black anodized finish to match our existing music stand, guitar stand and black lacquer piano, but after receiving it, I then ordered a _second_ stand for my 7-year-old niece in red anodized to match the pink Amahi soprano ukulele I bought for her birthday. (Her dad bought instruments for my own kids when they were young, and I wanted to return the generosity by giving his daughter a real uke of her own to learn on.)

Great stand!
Okay there's a gazillion other versions of this on Amazon but this one works well and I'm very glad I picked it. My concert-size ukulele fits perfectly, the stand feels well proportioned and non-tip sturdy even on low-pile carpet, and it folds very compactly though not quite compactly enough to fit all the way inside my gig bag's outside pocket (it sticks out a little but not enough to fall out). Great buy, great value, great stand!

Tenor Ukulele Needs Rest Stop
I bought this for my Kala Tenor Ukulele which needs some rest. I am addicted. I checked out several stands including the nice solid wood and veneer ones. Durability was a concern with the others including a solid wood one three times the price. If you are looking for a display only this is great as well because the focus is on the instrument. It’s quite sturdy and I plan to take it Senior Camping (glamping). It’s quite adjustable and the Ukulele feels quite stable at rest. The silicone pads shouldn’t react with wood, another plus. Highly recommended and quite affordable.

Not enough weight to be stable with a Mandolin.
Nice but much too lite-weight to be reliable. Very back-heavy...front feet lift when I set a Mandolin in the stand. Solid *meh* overall. It's *just* enough to keep and not return. Something to use in the studio when out of the case for tracking. *meh*

Excellent product
I bought two of these, one for my home studio and one for my kit for gigs. I play multiple instruments at our gigs and was leaning my mandolin against the other guitars which was clumsy and also a recipe for something breaking. My friend recommended these and they are perfect for the job. I didn't want to add another bulky item to drag along and also take up space in the smaller venues we play. This fits both of those requirements. As a bonus feature, you can adjust the bottom arms to accommodate different instruments. I am going to buy another to have a place for my ukulele. This stand is a great value and a great addition to my studio.

Excellent Ukulele Stand
I really like this stand, I use it for my Tenor ukuleles. The "feet" slides forward/back to adjust for the thickness of the ukuleles. I definitely would not recommend this for a guitars as the height/weight it will make it topple over.

Instrument specific
Actually it needs to be taller in the back. Suppose it would be perfect for a concert ukulele but not a tenor and not a violin. A tenor ukulele needs a longer back brace. If it doesn’t sit perfectly straight it falls side ways. Wouldn’t buy it again.

It's good but maybe not the best for electric violin
This thing is built well, good quality, It's sturdy but I wish it was a little taller with more support. It folds up really small and is great for storing as it takes up no space.

This stand is well worth the cost.
Works really well with my ukelele...not quite as sturdy as I would like & I wouldprefer if the ukelele could lean back more in it, but that said, the price was excellent, delivery super quick, and it folds up and fits nicely in my carry bag.
