Furniture Leather Max Refinish and Restorer Kit / 4 Oz Restorer / 2 Oz Conditioner / 1 Sponge (Leather Repair) (Vinyl Repair) (Red)

It sounded to me like this product was a filler for places where the leather surface is pealing away. Wrong! It is simply a paint. That is all it does. It paints the surface that has peeled so that it is the same color as the leather around it. But, it does nothing to fill or replicate the look of the leather surface. It leaves a dull painted look. So from a distance it kinda hides the fact that the surface of the bonded leather has worn away. But, if you stand within a couple of feet of the furniture, it is obvious that it has been painted! It looks terrible. And, the company does not allow returns on some of these colors. Would not recommend to anyone!

I used the Leather Max to restore 2 Dark brown leather couches that no longer looked good enough to be in our family room. The couches were in good condition and made from real leather, the only thing wrong is that the color had rubbed off in high contact areas.I cleaned the areas I wanted to restore with full strength Simple Green to ensure there were no oils of any kind on the leather surface. The Leather Max kit was easy to use and I applied 2 moderate coats about 2 hours apart. I let the product sit for 72 hours without sitting on the couches. After the 72 hours had past, I applied the topcoat/sealer from Leather Max. The results are very spectacular! The color matches the original color very well and the couches look like new. The areas where I applied the sealer are a little more shinny than originally finished areas but I expect them dull with time and use. The couches are in the basement and have stood up to a week's worth of moderate use with no signs of the finish rubbing off.I will rewrite a follow-up report in 3-4 months to report wear, but so far, I am highly impressed with the product.

I had been looking for a replacement recliner inasmuch as mine was starting to look a bit shabby. Well, after pricing new leather recliners, I thought I might have to settle for a cloth one. My recliner was still in good shape, but as I said, the leather was not looking too good. I decided to give Leather Max Refinish & Restorer a try. Well, I couldn't be more pleased. The color was a shade darker brown, but that did not make a bit of difference to me. I decided to wait some time before making this review to see how the finish held up. I can see nothing negative to report. I was surprised to see how much restorer I had left over after putting two coats on the recliner. I highly recommend!

I was skeptical about this or any other miracle product that claimed it could fix very old and distressed leather chairs. BUT, I was curious and did not want to spent the thousands of dollars required to replace the leather conference chairs in my office that rarely get used.This stuff works great! See attached pic for details. This is not a paid advertisement, the company did not provide me discounted items for a review. I just felt obligated to post this because this product did amazing things to my old worn leather conference chairs.One hint, go to Harbor Freight and get their foam paint style brush to get into the crevices and cracks. Based on my experience on these very distressed leather chairs about one 4 ounce bottle will cover one chair.It takes about 30-40 minutes to do one chair (including the nooks and crannies) with 2-3 coats.I will update my review if the finish does not maintain or starts coming on (hopefully not on a client!)

Unbelievable. Was ready to give up on my leather chair, which is upholstered in a very low-grade “bonded” leather. Ordered the red test/mix kit to figure out color, and then ordered a 4oz jar and added the 1oz bottle of brighter red from the kit to the jar and the combined 5oz was just enough to cover the whole job. It was so easy to apply, I don’t know what this stuff is but it’s genius. Excellent product and great customer service.

I ordered this product for a family member. It was used to restore old leather living room furniture that was cracked, peeling, and faded. I have included pictures of the results after the 1st application. This worked better than we ever expected. I would recommend this to anyone. It definitely saved thousands of dollars since we didn't have to replace the furniture.

With a large family, the sofas in our home get a lot of use. When I noticed that our 8 year old leather love seat and sofa were showing wear and looked like they needed replacing, I started researching if there were any products I could use to restore them. I am so impressed with how our love seat turned out- It looks like brand new. We followed the instructions and cleaned the leather with the conditioner that came in the package-mix it in a spray bottle with water, and wipe clean with a microfiber cloth. Once it was dry we repeated this one more time to be sure to have a clean surface. The finish is like a stain, but does not stay on your fingers (or anything else) if you wash it off with a little soap and water. It takes 24 hours to set, but was "touch dry" in minutes. I used the mahogany color on a very dark brown bonded leather, applied it with the sponge applicator that came in the package, using a swirl pattern to apply. I did apply a second coat to the areas that were "time worn" and used it to fill a couple of small cracks in the leather on one of the cushions. So far, we have not seen any damage to the finish and the love seat looks like new. I ordered the 8oz kit to do the sofa next!!

I had a leather couch that was showing lots of wear. I had made a decision to replace it, however, I thought I would try this product in an effort to see if it worked. Let's just say it saved me over $1000 from having to purchase a new couch. The refinish was a perfect match, and to this date, I'm still amazed at how well the product worked. The key is to apply a top coat after you use the refinish. I ended ordering the Max top coat separately and it worked perfectly.
