Sweet tone and playability!
I own 2 of these Requinto models. One I purchased about 10 years in a small music store. They were asking $650 for it because it had some fretwork done. The owner of the shop actually let me bring the guitar home for a couple weeks so I could check it out (very nice of her). Well, I did not purchase it and returned it to the store. No real reason, just didn't feel like spending $650. She would not budge on the price claiming the labor put in by the luthier. About 2-3 years later I stoped in the same store and lo and behold the same Requinto was still on the rack! It looked lonely so after some haggling I walked out of the store with the Requinto for $420. When I saw the same guitar on Amazon I had to have another. Two of these around for impulsive jam sessions is great. They have very sweet tone, tuned to A and are comfortable to play. I can say that the fret job done on my 1st Requinto is excellent and there is clearly a difference in playability between the 2. I will be taking the Amazon purchased Requinto in for a fretwork soon. BTW the inlay work is absolutely beautiful and looks fabulous hanging on the wall.

It behaves like a fine guitar and is visually and kinesthetically charming
This a i big cut above the LLano. It behaves like a fine guitar and is visually and kinesthetically charming. Good, balance across the stings, good separation, good clarity and sustain, no fret problems, and good projection. A favorite guitar of mine (and I play José Ramirez, Conde Hermanos and Valeriano Bernals.)
