Wow.. super easy change out and works just as good as the factory original.. should have changed it out years ago when the lower speeds would squeak and most likely burnt up my regulator.

Install was quick and easy. Was identical to oem part. Blows just as hard as oem part. Has been in my truck for years and is still going strong. Would definitely purchase again.

It can be really frustrating looking for quality replacements for parts like this, because there are so many vendors offering "alternatives" that may "fit," but aren't really the same quality or configuration as your OE. It doesn't help that Chevy/GM (and other "American" auto companies) have shopped so much of their replacement part business on older cars out to Chinese manufacturers. Even "tried and true" OE vendors like AC Delco are having many of "their" parts manufactured in China. GM/Chevy is doing it too. They contract with a Chinese company to make the parts to conform with OE specs, slap their packaging/labels on the parts, and charge you more for them ... for GM/Chevy parts, a LOT more. I have ordered a lot of such parts for my 2001 Suburban, mainly because there's nothing else available any more. This particular blower fan is made in China, and I did find it to be almost identical to my factory OE. Getting the blower out of its fitting and the new one into place is "easy," as everyone has said. Getting AT the location where the fan is installed, however, not so easy. It's literally at the bottom of the dash/HVAC unit, right above the floorboards, all the way forward to the firewall. Getting two free hands, a light, AND your eyes in there, close enough to see what the h*** you're doing, is murder. Even harder if your vehicle still has the original, insulated bell housing covering the base of the fan. The padding/insulation in this housing helps to hold the fan snugly in place and minimize vibration. The front screw securing that housing in place is easy to see/get at/remove ... the one in the back is nearly impossible ... you can't see it at all, you have to feel around for it and wedge your wrench between the floorboard and back of the housing to get at it. Once I finally located the screw, got my socket on it, and successfully removed it/the housing, I had to give up trying to put the rear screw back after I had installed the new fan. Hard as I tried, I simply could not get the housing in the exact position needed to get the screw re-set/re-started in the hole it came out of. Other than that, the fan itself went in fine, with all the connection points being a "plug and play" match for my OE, and it seems to be working just as well so far.

So far so good if it still works later I'll give 5 stars but it seems to be built good quality exact fit on my 03 GMC Sierra 1500

I had to replace my old one because it was squealing really bad. In the video you can hear the old one. Installed the new one in about 20 minutes and the squeal is all gone. The only complaint I would have is that it has a weird hum when you turn the AC speed to max but I think it’s because it’s an aftermarket blower with an aftermarket level bearing but it’s not a bad thing just a noticeable difference.

Quit working after a couple years

I was getting a clicking sound from my fan motor. The faster the fan speed, the fast rate of clicking. Installation is easy and doesn't take a lot of muscle to do. There is a cover on the just above the passenger's feet that has (3) small lag bolts (I believe that they were 7 mm, but test it to be sure) that can be removed with a socket. A few tugs and the cover comes out. I was able to feel a tab that holds the motor in place and by pressing it up, while turning the motor counterclockwise, it popped loose and dropped down. By the way, this is a good time to note to yourself where the tab is so that you can easily remount the new motor. There is a single electrical connector that released easily. The space between the dash and the floor is a bit tight to remove the motor, but just try wiggling it in several different angles until it's loose. Reverse the steps to reinstall, though hold off on reinstalling the cover until you've had a chance to test the motor. Mine wasn't fastened all the way and I had to give it some more torque to get it properly seated. Be sure to set the fan speed to it's fastest setting to test. Once tested, put the cover back on. Getting the cover to just the right spot so that the lag screws get in is the hardest part.
