Scott Allan Premium Men’s Striped Tie – Classic Woven Neckties for Business, Wedding & Formal Wear

Very high quality. I purchased to represent the NY Knicks in a professional setting. It was perfect. I received a bunch of compliments. The tie is thick, silk like. Feels much more expensive than it it.

I am a financial advisor and constantly in front of clients. I have some fairly pricy ties in my closet, but I also have a dog with nails that were meant catch silk and destroy "pretty things" the moment I walk in the door. So off I went on a hunt for "cheap" "expensive looking" ties. This fit the bill perfectly. I have received numerous compliments on this tie. It looks like it belongs next to many of the higher priced ties in my collection. I have used it quite a lot recently. When tied it produces a fairly thick knot (Full Wind) but has enough length to compensate. I have had other ties from Amazon that tie even thicker knots to the point that I can't use a full wind. This is well rounded tie all-in-all. If it was a $50 tie it would be 4 star. Given that it costs $15 ... can't give it anything less than 5. Note - One person described this tie as "yellow" over "gold." All I can say is, the tie looks identical to the picture. I'm wearing it right now with a white shirt, blue subtle pinstriping, and it is about as gold as it gets. It goes perfectly with the pen in my pocket with gold accents. (I'm really not snobbish I just like to look good :P) You won't regret this purchase.

First, consider the price. Nine dollars for a tie is very inexpensive. Second, check your expectations of this tie being the same as a fifty dollar tie and enjoy your purchase! I purchased this tie in a red and silver combination (doesn't seem to be available at the time I'm writing this review) to give as a gift to a teacher who coaches a track team with silver and red as their school colors. The tie arrived packaged in a clear plastic bag so I had to dress it up a bit with a box and some tissue, but the end result was the same as if I'd spent a lot more money. He was pleased and it looks great on. I'd recommend these Scott Allan Men's Striped Neckties to folks on a budget who still want to look good!

in fairness I can't give this tie a 5 star because I would have to hold those for the best ties on the market and this isn't quite at that level (i would rate an XMI 5 stars), however, I am very pleased...I stared at these forever and finally broke down and bought one to test the quality...a little history on me...I love my tie collection and am rather picky...I usually wear: XMI, David Donahue, JW Nordstrom, Robert Talbot, and Bloomingdales Signature Line (another good tie for a lesser price)...this tie arrived and I was shocked that it had a thickness that rivaled very expensive ties...additionally, it knots very well and holds a crease perfectly...I have received quite a few comments about the tie which says a lot...not sure how it will hold up over time as I think it may fray a bit easier than the ones I usually wear and listed but for the money it doesn't matter...since I am so selective about my wardrobe and especially my ties it says a lot that I am buying a few more of these...I think you will be very happy with any purchase you make from this manufacturer!

Man I'll tell ya, I never expected a tie to make such a difference in my appearance. After wearing this tie once I don't think I'll be able to wear it ever again. I bought for a friends fall wedding, I figured orange was a good fall color I didnt have yet. As soon as I arrived I had women pulling me to the dance floor begging for a dance. My pockets became overflowing with phone numbers written on cocktail napkins. The bartender insisted on giving me free drinks for the night, and my friends grandmother even tried to lure me into the bathroom. Eve the men started winning at me and offering to rub my feet. I guess sexiness doesn't discriminate. I woke up the next morning in a mansion on a round,silk sheeted bed surrounded by roughly 12 naked women (and a few midgets) wearing nothing but this damn orange tie. As I jumped up to leave I noticed my legs were extremely tired, like I had been running all night. I'm not sure exactly what happened but when I finally made it home I threw that tie in the far back corner of my closet and vowed never to wear it again. I do have another wedding to attend this October though...

I bought 11 of these ties for my wedding party...groomsmen, ushers and fathers. My bridesmaid dresses are truffle brown and the men will be wearing black suit pants with a white shirt. I was very nervous to purchase these online, but I am so very happy with the quality! They look and feel just like a much more expensive tie! I was also worried that the brown stripe would not be dark enough to match the dresses but I was just going to deal with it since they were so cheap. The brown is actually darker than the photo so it will be a perfect match! I'm so happy!!

Very good quality for under $20. I can hand wash the tie, which is a feature I really wanted. Dry cleaning ties is expensive.
