A lively and enjoyable audiobook. I'm primarily using the audiobook with the book itself to help in my learning Italian - a great word-for-word parallel. Yet even without this emphasis the recording really captures the fun of Dahl that would be appreciated by anyone.

This kindle edition (italian version) is missing most picture/drawings.

Started learning Italian since lockdowns, this is a great little book and I’m enjoying the read and the challenge.

Sehr empfehlenswert für die ganze Familie. Einfach zu lesen. Willi Wonka ist eine sehr lustige, positive, kreative und originelle Persönlichkeit. Ich würde sie gerne kennenlernen.

I am a moderate to advanced learner of Italian and recently decided to mix up my routine a bit by focusing more on reading now that my listening comprehension has gotten much better. My new strategy is to combine kindle books translated in Italian with the Italian audiobook version (which I found for this book on Audible). I have always been a huge fan of Roald Dahl, both his children's stories and his novels/novellas for adults. I figured I'd start with a story that I already knew really well and so far I am really enjoying this book! The translation is decent; for those who don't know, all Italian books make good usage of the passato remoto tense, which I haven't spent any time learning or using since it is rarely used in northern Italy. However, I'm finding it easy to understand in context and I'm picking up a lot of new vocabulary. According to my husband (whose native language is Italian) much of the vocabulary used in this translation is archaic. However, he's told me that it's not uncommon for archaic words to be used even in children's stories, so I think that might be par for the course. I'm still enjoying the act of reading+listening and I'm only mentioning these issues as an FYI, not a criticism. These will likely be issues with any Italian book you read, I don't think it's the fault of this specific translation. I also wanted to mention that the narrator's voice is really very good; he reads with a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and emotion. He also has a very pleasant voice to listen to in general, so I find the narration almost as enjoyable as listening to the story itself.

Il libro stimola la fantasia, disegnando un mondo di dolciumi tra i più strani e misteriosi: utilissimo per avvicinare con leggerezza i piccoli alla lettura. Dahl scrive con uno stile facile da comprendere, e Il libro si può leggere velocemente. C'è anche una morale, non troppo nascosta, anzi, direi che è quella che dà senso ad un libro altrimenti molto leggero: nella vita, l'umiltà può essere vincente sull'ingordigia, la prepotenza, l'eccessiva sicurezza di sé o il vivere una realtà eccessivamente virtuale: in fondo, molto simile alla morale "chi troppo vuole nulla stringe". Alla fine, il libro lascia con il desiderio di assaggiare il cioccocremolato al triplo supergusto...

Sono una ragazzina di prima media e dovevo leggere questo libro per la scuola Ammetto che non ne ero molto entusiasta però gli ho dato una possibilità Sono molto felice di avergliela data!!! Ho finito subito il libro e anche le mie compagne in pochi giorni l’avevano finito Ripeto, molto avvincente e bellissimo 😍 Scritto benissimo e molto descrittivo, ma non noioso ☺️ Quando ero un po’ triste prendevo il libro e leggevo,leggevo e leggevo Stavo sveglia fino a tardi pur di leggere 🤭🤫 Basta aspettare qualche capitolo che lo adorerai 🤩 Se scegliete di leggerlo vi auguro buona lettura e per che lo finisce esiste un seguito!
