Archoil quieted down my 2007 5.7 Tundra with 390000 miles
I purchased this product a little over a month ago to use it on my next Oil Change in my 2007 5.7 liter Toyota Tundra with 390000 plus miles. I have used synthetic 0w 20 mobile 1 motor oil in it probably since it got over a hundred thousand miles. Over the past six months or so my engine started making a lot of racket under the hood with what seems to be a timing chain with a loose tensioner. At least that is my diagnosis based on other YouTube videos I have found with the same exact noise. It usually will quiet down once the engine warms up, but recently even that wasn't helping the sound go away so I started looking on the web for oil treatments because it just didn't seem like a normal oil change was doing the trick and looking for a possible cheaper fix because tearing apart the engine to inspect the timing chain would be at least $1,000 if not $2000 or more from a dealer. In addition to adding 9 oz of Archoil into my motor oil since that is what it recommends at 1.2 ounces per quart of oil for gasoline engines, I also decided to use 5 W 20 Mobil 1 extended range high mileage full synthetic oil in this oil change. I'm going on a little over a week now and there is no more clicking or excessive noise going on under the hood. In addition, I usually change the oil every 10,000 Miles when I use the extended-range Mobil 1 motor oil, but this last change I decided to do it early since I wanted to try Archoil out faster and change the oil at 7,000 miles. The oil was super black and now realize that it may be a good idea to start changing the oil at lower mileage intervals because the high mileage extended range motor oil to me is not going to last 20,000 miles as suggested on it's label. So going forward I will most likely start changing the oil in 5000 mile increments too just because I think it will be better on the engine and if this does keep the noise down under the hood it can only be good and give me more peace of mind. As for mileage (mpg) improvement, I have seen a little improvement. However, after an oil change I tend to see a little improvement anyways, but my Tundra on the highway is getting 20.3 miles per gallon this cool morning after driving about 35 miles with two stops along the way as I drove to work, but by the end of the day after it was averaging 18.5 by the time I got home. I wish I could say the same though for city driving, but city driving is worse and usually it brings that average down to 16 to 17 miles per gallon once I have driven on a full tank of gas. Regardless, I think those numbers are pretty good for a 2007 Tundra with over three hundred ninety thousand miles on it (see Odometer picture). If I could have any recommendations for Archoil on improvements for this product it would be to have 18 or 20 oz per bottle instead of 16, because a typical gasoline truck is going to have about eight quarts of oil in it and doing their math that will put you a little short when the next Oil Change comes around to be able to use a bottle on two oil changes. In addition, they really need to have a better View gauge on the side of the bottle with ounce markings for those of us that do not use an entire bottle in one oil change. Overall though I do believe this product has helped quiet my engine down dramatically and has improved gas mileage a little. I have attached a video that I took of my engine back in February 2021 when I first turned it on and the noise was really bad, then a few minutes later after it warmed up and the sound got a little better, then the last 10 seconds or so is after running Archoil through my engine after roughly 300 miles of driving and after the new oil change which I just did on May 16, 2021. The video speaks for itself and I can't guarantee it will do the same for you, but I'm a believer that it helped quiet down my engine dramatically. I hope this review helps someone, and hopefully it will do the same for you. Update: April 11, 2022. I've used Archoil now on several oil changes and it continues to do it's job and keep my engine noise down significantly. My engine will start "acting up" around 5,000 to 7,000 by the noise returning more frequently and know it is time for another oil/Archoil change. I've been very pleased overall and even though this is expensive I believe it is saving me a lot more than a costly repair. My Tundra now has over 414,000 miles on it and still going strong.

Archoil 9100 Works! 6.0L PSD
I bought a 2006 F250 with the 6.0L and about 380,000 miles on it! Did not have hard stiction issues but heard about this product and what it could do so i gave it a try. Background: I found out the previous owner had been using synthetic oil (dont remember the brand) after i had already put in Delo 15w-40 regular grade with my first oil change. I could tell there was something different by the first few times starting. It did not start as quickly and sometimes it would run for a second then die and would start on the next try. So i bought and added the AR9100 and added to the oil and there was a difference in starting and engine noise the next day after only running for awhile. So yes it will work with Regular grade Diesel Motor Oil also if anyone is wondering, but with the other strains this oil system goes through i wanted to use synthetic. So i wanted to see if just using Rotella synthetic T-6 5w-40 would also solve the known engine issues, so after about 1000 miles, i drained the oil and filled with just Rotella T-6. With the amount of oil that stays in the system along with the oil cooler and HEUI Pump, im sure there was still some Archoil in the system after the drain. I took a roadtrip and changed the oil at about 7500 miles with no issues and seemed to start ok. On my next oil change i stayed with the Rotella T-6 and added a fresh 16oz bottle of AR9100 to the oil. Now with the AR9100 and synthetic T-6 and i can definitely tell a difference in how easy it starts and the smoothness and quietness of the engine even more so than with just the synthetic. Within the first couple days it started easier and sounded much quieter. I could also hear the injectors cycling slowly becoming more steady and smooth like a drum roll. Before they were cycling a little erratic and lopey and didnt sound like all of them were cycling at all. Once the colder weather came i had no issues with stiction or loss of power with temps down in the 30's. I could start it and let it run a few minutes and take off no problems. I will continue to use this product in my 6.0L PSD and may try in my other vehicles to see if any difference. Also i have not compared against RevX or Hot Shots Secret but i know this stuff works and is cheaper and thats good enough for me.

This stuff is amazing for an old tired Powerstroke!
I read lots and lots of reviews of this product and virtually everyone says it's amazing, so I decided to take a chance. I bought a 1997 Ford F-350 with the 7.3L Powerstroke engine, with 369,000 miles. I got it for cheap because it wasn't running and stranded its owners, who decided to put it on Craigslist and buy another truck. Well, I replaced the glow plugs and glow plug relay, and that got it running, but not particularly well. Lots of blue/white smoke on cold startup, running rough, acting like it has a dead miss, etc. I haven't yet done any electronic diagnosis because I haven't yet wanted to shell out $400 for AutoEnginuity ... So I decided to add 16 oz of Archoil 6200 to my first oil change. And WOW. Instantaneous results. Startup was easier, less smoke, less rough running. After I took the truck out and drove it for about 30 minutes, getting it fully warmed up, it runs completely smooth (it was idling noticeably rough before), has more power, and I see almost no smoke except under hard acceleration. I look forward to letting the truck sit overnight and starting it in the cold to see how much better it is. Now, I have read that these results may go away if you change the oil again and don't put Archoil in again. I suppose that makes sense. And $40 per oil change, in addition to the 15.5 quarts of oil and filter, about doubles the cost of the job. But, heck -- if it makes my truck run this well without having to replace injectors, I'd say it's worthwhile for the time being. ... Addendum on 5/2/2018: I ran the Archoil in my truck for about a month. It seemed to improve things, but was not the magic bullet I had been led to believe. I replaced my eight injectors and that corrected the issues I was experiencing. Thus, like Hot Shot Secret, this stuff can help, but it doesn't seem to rehabilitate injectors that simply need to be rebuilt.

AR9100 -WORKS! Reduced wear, smoother operation, faster cold starts...
Bottom line: I have documented 50-55% reduced wear through used oil lab analysis (Blackstone) and it is mandatory in all my Diesel (truck, boat), Gasoline (daily drivers, weekend sports car) applications; also add 2 oz to power steering reservoir โ much smoother and gone is the โloss of power steeringโ symptom in tight parking maneuvers with oversize (37x13.50x20) tires. On my 2006 F-350 6.0L (owned since new) I switched to synthetic 5w-40 (which Ford recommends for Severe Service, All Temp ranges per manual) - personally I used Mobil 1 then Shell Rotella T-6, mine ran smoother on the Rotalla. My 6.0L started much better with the 5w-40 synthetic due to faster cold weather flow and the AR9100 made a big difference - mine used to run slightly rough below 30* and didn't feel like it had full power until it warmed a bit after 5-10 minutes of driving - that "hesitation" (for lack of a better term) was cured by AR9100; the 5w-40 alone did not fix it. I personally never exceed 5,000 miles drain interval regardless of weather, usage (towing, highway, stop and go) and use 16 oz of AR9100 at every oil change (keep a 1 qt bottle and use ยฝ oil, then add 16 oz of AR9100 during refill instead of the last ยฝ quart of oil so you do not overfill). Remember HEUI injectors (hydraulically actuated electronic unit injector) in the 7.3L, 6.0L motors were developed by and licensed from Caterpillar and are driven by oil pressure and that is where stiction (any amount of oil sludge will cause it) comes in. Archoil has a money back guarantee โ if it does not fix stiction, you get 100% refund but you likely need new injectors. Be sure to use **CJ-4** oil; there is a new "CK-4" formulation since December 2016 demanded by the EPA which reduces zinc, phosphorus and viscosity - Ford issued a TSB and โCK-4โ is NOT APPROVED BY FORD FOR ANY FORD DEISEL (Ford has a new Ford Material Engineering Specification WSS-M2C171-F1 (Google it) and Cummins issued CES20086 which several enhanced CK-4 oils are meeting but I would stay with CJ-4 while available) because of increased wear. Noteworthy is the โCK-4โ diesel specification removed the valvetrain wear test (ASTM-IIIG) used on all previous diesel specifications, like the CJ-4 diesel oil spec. And yes Powerstroke haters increased wear will affect ALL DIESELS - Cummins, Duramax, Navistar, Caterpillar, Mack, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes-Benz etc....I guess the other brands (excluding Cummins) want you to buy a new truck sooner so have not opposed CK-4 - all the more reason to use AR9100 as CJ-4 is now harder to find. To monitor the benefit of AR9100, I use Blackstone Labs (there are many labs to choose from) to perform used oil analysis - the labs give you a wear benchmark across the thousands of samples for your specific motor (they do this for gasoline engines as well if that is your application) so you have an index for the critical wear (iron, aluminum, copper - the reports explain where the wear is indicated based on metal type - bearings, pistons, block, cams/rocker arms etc), also silicone content will tell you the effectiveness of your air filter, coolant indicates head gasket or oil cooler issues, too much fuel dissolved in oil is an injector issue or way too much idling - well worth $30 in my opinion. With full synthetic 5w-40 and the Archoil AR9100 in my 6.0L, my wear metals per lab results were approx. 60-65% less than the average for the motor. I now have a 2014 F-350 6.7L I bought new and am also using the same oil / AR9100. In my 6.7L I am observing wear that is 50-55% less than the index. Prior to trying AR9100 and only using synthetic oil I was observing 10-15% less wear than the index. I am a believer. Hope this helps.

Don't believe em, this stuff works!
Some say oil additives don't help and in a lot of cases I would agree. This is not one of them! This stuff pretty much cured my stiction problem on my 6.0. where as before I was relegated to staying at hotels where I could plug in a extension cord so I could use my trucks block warmer, so it would start on cold mornings, now I can count on it starting without having to plug it in. And then when I switched to Rotella full synthetic oil with the Arch Oil additive it runs like the day I bought it new! So I don't care what some experts say, in real world applications, this stuff works!

Works but I think RevX is better.
I bought my Ford F250 6.0 powerstroke used with 125k miles. First thing I did was change oil. I noticed I had stiction issue. It seemed it would take a minute of running before the engine ran right... I read up about it, Bought RevX and it worked perfectly, zero stiction symptom after about 50-100 miles. Well about 10k miles later I did the oil again. I was hoping I wouldnt need to add anything to the oil since the injectors had been perfect ever since I did the RevX treatment. But as soon as I changed the oil the stiction issues were present again... So I figured I would try and save some money and use Archoil. Archoil worked too, however, there is a hint of stiction symptom still noticeable for the first 3-4 seconds of engine running (even after 1k miles). The RevX made the stiction symptoms completely go away, so much so that I was hoping the issue was fixed. But after reading about it more, you will always need a stiction additive if you have stiction issues unless you get the injectors taken out and cleaned or replaced. Its up to you which you buy, revx or archoil. They both greatly help with stiction issues, however to me revx is worth the extra money because it completely eliminated my symptoms where as archoil leaves just that hint of it for the first couple seconds or so.

7.3 must have
Kind of incredible how well it works 1997 7.3 power stroke Hard cold start, always had a haze coming out of the exhaust and under 1000 miles with this in the oil it starts way easier even without glow plugs. has zero haze and smoke coming out of the exhaust at all

Good product. Helps engine, turbo, and injectors stay cleaner.
Iโve been using these products for a few years now. I did notice our 2005 Ford F-250 Super Dutyโs engine runs quieter with it. We havenโt seen much improvement in the fuel milage though.

It works
This stuff is liquid gold. Pricey, but good for 3 oil changes so well worth it. In older vehicles, it really makes a difference. Highly recommended by my mechanic and I agree.

Great product for a 2015 TDI
I just put 6 oz of this stuff into my 2015 Golf TDI with 310,000 km. I used this product with my regular oil Liqui Moly Toptec 4200 5w30. My TDI seems quieter and runs smoother at lower RPMs. This is great stuff. I'll be using it again next oil change.

Good product but expensive
This produce used in my Hino diesel & my Ford 6.0 diesel resulted in both running smoother. My two Hino engines in my boat usually ranged on the digital tack around 10 rpm when held at any one speed. With this treatment they dropped to 2 rpm variance on both engines. Quieter, smoother. Don't know if it helped on mileage as hard to judge in a 38 foot boat until a number of months in service.
