Sweet Baby Shampoo, 16 oz., Sulfate Free, No Parabens, Phthalates, Dyes, Endocrine Disruptors, SLS Free, Vegan, Natural (Coconut Baby 16 oz)

I tried all three scents: unscented, angel baby and tropical baby. All three come in a white plastic bottle with a flip top. The unscented has a white flip top; angel baby has a gold flip top; and tropical baby has a silver flip top. The flip tops are quite flimsly. After my 4 year old toddlers dropped the bottle once, the flip top shattered; and now after about 3 months use (not allowing my kids to operate the flip tops or bottles themselves) the hinges on the tops have come apart. The label on the bottle is also not waterproof. After just one use in the shower the label peeled and eventually shredded into a disasterous paper mess. The biggest concern I had was the foil seal. One bottle came with the seal missing in its center; a second bottle's seal came off as soon as I opened the top; and the last one was sealed well. I contacted the owner of the company and she was fantastic! She took my concerns seriously and is currently looking into re-packaging (caps, bottles and seals) her products more effectively. Aside from the packaging, the actual product is by far the best natural, organic, non-toxic, safe, effective and clean smelling shampoo and soap I could find (for my toddlers, myself and my very scent-sensitive husband). Both my and my husband's sides of the family are prone to skin sensitivities, allergies and cancer. We have been searching high and low (doing a ton of research on bath products), trying multiple products and brands, mostly claimed "safe", "natural" or "organic". What we've learned is that many of these products really are not as they claim. I looked up every single ingredient in EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetics Database (the actual product is not yet in their database--Sweet Baby Organics is a relatively new company). There is nothing in this product that isn't truly "good" for you. Most importantly, our whole family can use this shampoo/soap. My husband and I like the tropical baby scent (smells of mild coconut, mango and pineapple). My toddlers like tropical baby and angel baby (smells like really strong baby powder). The unscented smells really "soapy" but really has otherwise no scent (I like using it to wash my handwashables). Lastly, the product works great even on my long (waist length) hair. It leaves my hair soft and clean. I don't have a need to use a conditioner or any other product. I also like that I can use this shampoo as a body wash. It lathers well and I don't need to use a whole lot of the product.

I had used Sweet Baby no scent w/o any problems but we were super low and they only had Tropical Baby avail so I decided to try it. My baby broke out in a rash all over her trunk/ midsection. It was all over her back & stomach. This ONLY HAPPENED W/ TROPICAL. We have had zero issues w/ the no scent for our baby. SO use the scents w/ caution on your little ones.JUNE 21, 2012 ***Camille sent us an unscented replacement bottle!! THANKS Great company!IT WAS THE SCENT THAT CAUSED THE BREAKOUT. I am still upset that a "natural" scent caused such a bad rash. Our Dr. confirmed it as irritation/ reaction to something b/c my husband used the Tropical by accident when I was out one night and she had the same reaction.The no scent works fine. We wash her hair every other day at most and it is soft w/o using conditioner.

This shampoo isn't just good for babies or women, it's amazing for anyone, this is simply the best all natural shampoo I have ever used. I got the coconut scent and it smells great without being overpowering, it lathers extremely well for a sulfate free shampoo and you can also use it as a body wash which is a great bonus since my skin is sensitive to most products with chemicals out there. It has also helped with my dandruff and itchy scalp and actually makes my hair look thicker without making it look oily and I didn't even need to use a conditioner with this, this is the only shampoo I have ever used that I did not need to use a conditioner. My hair feels soft and smooth after. Overall I'm very happy with this shampoo and will continue to buy this line of products.What it does for my hair (23 year old male).Cleans and moisturizes making it soft and smooth without a need for a conditioner.Gives my hair more volume and a thicker appearance without making it oily.I am shedding a lot less hair in the showerOverall this is simply the best, for people with extreme sensitivity use the unscented version but remember it may dry out your scalp if you overuse it, which is why I use the coconut one.

Update after 2 years:We have been using the sweet baby body and hair shampoo for more than 2.5 years. This product is the only thing we use. I have tried all their scents-coconut baby, vanilla, unscented, pear, tropical baby, cream soda limited edition. We love all of them. None of the scents are overwhelming. However, if your child is eczema prone, then I would go for the unscented version to be safe. My 2.5 year old has mild eczema and like I said, none of the scented versions caused any rash. We use a very small, diluted version to wash his face.Just for the reference we have purchased almost all the natural or organic versions of baby shampoo, here on amazon, including "Earth mama angel baby", Burts Bees, Lafe's Baby Foaming Shampoo and Wash Fragrance Free, just to name a few. I have personally found Sweet Baby's formulation to be the thickest, which means that I don;t have to use as much of it during each bath. My kid bathes twice a day usually and one bottle easily lasts us upto 3 months.-------Original review: Love this product! I use this on my now 18 month old and he seems happy. I love the mild scent too. The bottle lasts for a good 2 months or so. My only complaint is that I wish they had subscribe and save option for this- so that I don't have to go in every time to place an order. I would like to get this automatically delivered every couple of months. This seems to be the trend for most products on amazon- please bring subscribe and save Paradise Island Organics!Oh, and the customer service is really good- looks like they care a lot about customer satisfaction.
