MG Senior Golf Balls for Maximum Distance & Enjoyment (1 Dozen)

I’m 60 yrs old, was recently custom fit for clubs for the first time. My fitter told me I need to stop playing from the collection of lost balls I find and select a game ball. I did some research decided to test these MG golf balls along with 3 three other brands from online reviews - targeting golf balls suitable for higher handicappers. I’ve compared the MG’s against the other balls over 4 rounds so far, and it’s becoming clear to me that these are the longest, straightest golf balls I’ve ever hit. I’ve had multiple drives go as long or longer than my younger playing buddies, and my hybrids and irons have also jumped in distance with improved dispersion (I’ve collected several comments and looks that made me smile). The ball feels firm but not harsh, has a pleasant impact sound, decent spin, and I think has reduced my slice and hook on poor swings. A couple of the guys have asked me what the heck is MG? That’s okay, I don’t need to spend 2-3 times more for golf balls that are shorter and less forgiving for my level of game. I think MG is going to be my game ball for now.

From the very first drive off the tee I was at least 20 yards further than before. I play with a mens groat our local club and have been out driving them all. Lol. And I find myself in the middle of the fairway more often. Very good ball and highly recommend them. Some may feel that it is not right to use a senior friendly ball but at our age it’s for the enjoyment we get out of the game.

For the money, there are better balls out there. However, I wanted to see if the hype was true on the ball being too fast off the driver. I ordered the yellow and set out to be the longest off the tee. The ball is on the firmer side and they last a long time. They will even hold the greens on good wedge or iron shots. They are not, however, any longer than any other ball I have played over the past 2 years. I might swing too fast (100mph+) to actually get the added boost that is claimed.

I was, and always have been, very very, suspicious of claims to "fly further, straighter". In this case the claims are true. I am 70+ and have found these do indeed offer about a 10-15% distance gain. The drives were nice, but I did hit several short irons to the back of the green because of the extra gain. All in all, I am absolutely delighted with these balls.

Maybe it's me, but the balls seem to like a "pure" hit. When you do, it does fly far. My problem is I don't always do that. Other "regular" balls that I play seem to have more forgiveness. However I'm working on my swing and hope to grow into this ball. This ball is a "hard" ball and I seem to hit the softer balls better at my reduced swing speed, as a weekend hack. I play bogey golf as a reference. A regular drive for me is about 220 yards, and if "pure" this ball I can get out to 240 yards.

At 65 my swing speed is no longer breaking 100. More like 85 to 90 on a good day and two Advil. These balls put me back on the center tees. Two hits into the drink on the front nine and I'm clubbing down. They hit straight, fly true and roll perfect. Putting, pitching and chipping are on par with my favorites like Vice Pro and Pro V1. The ball sounds great coming off a driver face but agony when heel or toed. Dry condition testing only. I will revisit after some wet condition play.

These golf balls gave my game a much-needed confidence boost! As a senior golfer, I’m always looking for a little extra distance, and these delivered. Shots seemed to fly farther, and even my playing partners started asking what I was using. The best part? They helped make the game more enjoyable without requiring a miracle swing change. Great feel, easy to spot, and plenty durable for my occasional visits to the rough. If you're looking to squeeze a few extra yards out of your game and have more fun doing it, these balls are worth a shot!

Save your money. Over priced and worthless.

Bought on a review on YouTube. Biggest waste of money! The balls showed surface damage after playing a few holes. Extra distance with slower swing speed, BALONEY!!
