A favorite
Great taste, melts well and lasts long enough for bread and apple dipping enjoyment. Easy to use and great to grab when you want to treat yourself.

Absolutely delicious!
Fantastic! Tasted just like Switzerland. So easy to prepare-making it by scratch is arduous.......

Has alcohol in it
It comes out lumpy and grainy with some liquid when you first open it. It takes quite a while to heat it up even with a double boiler. Once’s it’s all heating up it still tastes like alcohol so even though in theory alcohol burns off in food this is something to be mindful about with children. The texture eventually becomes smooth but it takes an awfully long time. It’s easy to use in the sense that you don’t need to add anything to it and just need to heat it. The texture is nice and creamy, smooth but the taste is good but potent after taste of beer.

Get this at Amazon!!!
This is great product and not available in the larger chain grocery stores. It’s available during the holidays at Trader Joe’s sometimes. Amazon has always had it available at a good price and delivered to your door. It doesn’t get any better than that!

DISGUSTING!
My craving for fondue caused me to buy Swiss Knight fondue, instead of my usual Emmi Fondue brand, bc Swiss Knight would arrive sooner. Such a mistake! When I opened the Swiss Knight package, it smelled like that nasty athletes feet smell🤢😖 The smell got exponentially worse once the fondue cheese started heating up in the fondue pot🤮 I'm pretty sure it's from the type of kirsch brandy in Swiss Knight, bc Emmi fondue has the exact same ingredients on the label but Emmi does not smell like nasty feet. (Whole Foods sells Emmi fondue and I had a couple boxes delivered; no awful smell.) The nasty smell reduced once the SK fondue fully heated through and melted, which further makes me think it was the kirsch; the smell didn't go away, but definitely reduced. Unfortunately, even after washing my fondue pot twice and cooking a package of Emmi fondue in it, that nasty smell from the SK brand still lingers in my Oster electric fondue pot, as if it's cooked into the nonstick ceramic coating. I wasted money buying 2 boxes of SK fondue. I'm throwing out the second box. I can't recommend Swiss Knight fondue.

Date night go to
My husband and I always grab this brand when we use our fondue pot. This is the best brand we can find that matches the kind we had in Switzerland. At first I thought it might be a bad idea to order cheese from Amazon- but we have done it so many times and we have never had any issues

Expensive But Worth It
This really tastes like authentic Swiss-German fondu. If you are familiar, it will have a slight wine/kirsch taste to it. I think you will appreciate it. Otherwise there is a made for Aldi’s 400g package you can buy in store for 60% of the cost of Swiss Knight. But it is a little less strong tasting. I would highly recommend getting a real Caquelon (ceramic pot with heating station) for cooking the fondue and keeping it warm. With these packets it is so trivial, take out of package, heat until melted, then let it boil just a little bit. It should be bubbling in the center before taking off the stove. Paired with some cube-sliced French bread (thicker heartier bread preferred, traditionally it was slightly stale bread from the previous day) and a nice bottle of white wine, and this is perfect. Also in my family we do a shot of kirsch before eating (traditionally kirsch is part of the recipe). You can get a small bottle of German (or Californian) Kirsch at BevMo, but of course Swiss is preferred. Anyways, this package really only serves 2.5 people or so. Make two if you have 4-5 people.
