Throw back
So fun to share this game with my children! Got this to run on my computer running Windows 11. No problems with it.

Reader Rabbit Personalized Preschool
This is the best learning tool for our preschool (ages 5 and 3) that we haveused to this point. The 5 year old keeps coming back to use it and has now dreveloped to the point where she wants to use it on her own. The 3 year old is a bit young yet but will try some of the sections. The personalized format allows easch person to sign in with thier own name. They can then pick up the exercises at the point wehre they stopped the previous time. There is an assessment tool so that they can be placed at levels appropriate ot their own development. Also, unlike the Reader Rabbit Preschool Starship, this version loaded into the computer with no difficulty (no blue screen).

Great Game for Little Ones!!
I bought this game many years ago for my grandkids, but lost it somewhere over the years. Finally decided to repurchase the game for my youngest grandson (now 5) and he loves it as much as the older ones did. They were 3 when they played it. He plays other 'shoot 'em up, monster, etc.' type games with his older brother but prefers this one as it doesn't 'scare' him. Everytime he comes over (almost every weekend), he wants to play the bunny game. Much better for him that those other, older kid games! We both enjoy it, and I'm so happy I bought it again while I still could!!

Get It If...
You have a computer with a processor slow enough to open it. Just lesson your pixel size on the computer you use it on and it will run fine. My kids love it and it's VERY easy for them to use. They're 2 & 4 years old.

A Kids Review!
My little brother was going to try it for the first time. I used to love these games when i was little. We have Windows Vista and we poped in the first disc in(it has two of them)and..................it didnt work! We tryed a hundred times but it wouldn't work. So if YOU have vista and have a Wii OR DS, get the new wii or DS versions that came out this year(this verson was made in 1999).

Great service, product difficult to load
The shipper was prompt and the product is fine, except that it took a lot to get it loaded. This wasn't the shipper's fault. I give this encounter five stars, but as much as I like the Reader Rabbit series I don't think I'll buy more. There is little technical support.

Won't Install on Win 7
When I finally upgraded to Windows 7, (Windows 95 or Higher stated on the requirements) my older versions of Reader Rabbit simply stopped working and would shut down. As I have a 3 yr old in the house, I decided to upgrade to a newer version on Reader Rabbit as well. Wrong! Not one of the 4 programs I purchased will even install. "Not compatible with this version of Windows. Contact the publisher" Contacting the publisher results in a message that email and phone support are no longer supported. Thanks Riverdeep for nothing. Only 2nd grade had a patch and that was for the calendar. I even tried to install it in compatability mode to Win XP with the same result. Will not install. We loved the Reader Rabbit programs for our older children, and it's a shame that Riverdeep took it over from Learning Company and then allowed it to die. Maybe I could buy an older Win 98 machine, or slice up my hard drive, install 98, and install it on that for the childrens' use only.

Confusing but very educational and fun
As with all reader rabbit games, getting it to run on your computer is going to be very difficult. You need a very old operating system and you'll need to disable the firewalls that are going to label it a virus. Once you've accomplished that and can get the game to run, the game itself is very confusing. There are no rules anywhere and it's not self explanatory. If you take time to figure it out without your child present, it will go much better. The games themselves are fun and educational. I am a huge fan of all the reader rabbit computer games but I would say this one is my least favorite.
