Great Power Supply for HAM Radio
This supply has been running my HAM setup now for about a year. It runs my Yaesu FTDX10 and my 2M Alinco DMR500 radio without issue concurrently. While it is not a linear supply, I have not found any evidence of any noise. On the other hand, likewise, the "Noise Offset" button has no apparent function -- at least in my use case on 70cm, 2M, 10M, 15M, 20M, 30M, and 40M on my setup with my particular equipment.. your milege may vary. The included DC Cigarette outlet is also nice, however, it is limited to 10A. This is a silly limit, and I wish it wasnt there and could have been an opportunity for differentiation.. but... it's not a deal breaker by any means. IT would have been nice to also include some USB QC 3.0 ports.... but I guess I can use the Cigarette outlet for that as well.Anyways, great supply.. get it. 5 Star. No regrets.

Amazing Power Supply Unit
TekPower TP50SW 50 Amp Analog DC Power SupplyPurchased this TP50SW Power Supply a couple of months ago. I like to test the items I buy before leaving feedback. So far I can say this PS works flawlessly. I use it just about everyday to power a linear Amplifier (Palomar-6). One of the features I like is it is very easy to see the large analog meter which tells you the volts and the amps you are using. This power supply has virtually no noticible power interferance thanks to a noise control dial (Noise-Offset Filter). You can set the voltage output to automatic 13.8 V, or manually increase the volts to around 16 volts. You can view the amps (..or the volts) you are using by simply flipping a switch. This meter does not show you both, amps and volt usage at the same time because there is only one meter. The meter, itself, is very bright w/ large, east to read numbers. While I have never gone over 32 amps while running my kicker from the power supply, I would venture to guess that it will easily handle more power if you needed it. The PS also has a 12-V cigarette lighter plug on the front, and a meter adjust slot in case you ever need to calabrate the meter. You hook up (whatever) your powering up via a negative and a positive connector located in the back of the unit. On a scale of 1-10, I easily rate this a "10" !!!

Works Super!! Does not heat up!
This PSU works as described. I had read many of the reviews and knowing the item was not a BIG name brand, I took the risk. Arrived in a box surrounded by soft cushion padding and very nice looking. LED's light up real nice and tested the unit on a 40 amp draw. (RM Italy HLA-300 Plus RF Amplifier) No issues, I mean no drops in voltage on my end. Works as it should. One thing to note when using this. You have a fixed DC output and variable. Based on your application, choose as needed. Also, the current meter is another switch. If you set the meter to the current setting, yes the voltage will not show as it's not a dual meter. So in case you leave it on current and turn off the unit and come back and see the meter sitting at zero, don't be alarmed, the voltage will only show on the voltage setting. So you may be thinking "Hey where's the voltage?" -- ya the meter is set on current. Just a share in case you get confused.....Overall feeling. I was concerned with birdies or noise being broadcasted on my AM radio, FM Radio, and my Ham Radio. Tested all bands and nothing was coming across, no issues to report. Very pleased.I have not tested this on a bench scope, but the price and the need of 40 amps (Never push a PSU to MAX rating, ideally 80% threshold, avoid the high peaks above 40 amps, just to save the life of a PSU - General rule of thumb. 80% for best efficiency. I know this PSU can do 50 amps, but that is the max, and pushing anything to max will change the life cycle of the item)I will get the 2nd one now to power some other items - I'm sold.

Lots of current headroom for mobile transceivers serving as base station
It is really more than I expected for the money.Nice equipment but a few points that would be nice for the supplier or manufacturer to consider. How about a couple of closed lugs to solder to the positive and negative terminal wires.Putting bare wire under those might terminal binders is a little odd. Providing that kind of quality could be a reason to go the extra mile and pack a couple of binding post connectors. Small gripe but none the less important to me. The TekPower handled the 16 amp demand of my Yaesu 80 Watt Two Meter transceiver in a cool and calm fashion. Another small gripe is the fact that the ac power cord is very loose fitting on the unit. the weight of the line can pull it loose. I put a book on it to prevent an inadvertent disconnect. I have not looked at the termination to see if a little bending might remedy the problem. Again, not a major flaw just a bit disconcerting when you expect everything to be as solid as the excellent performance. A a fine piece of equipment deserves something better. So far it has performed in an outstanding manner and after a session as net control the unit was barely warm and I was running a full eighty watts the entire time, albiet that is only a 16 amp demand but it is gratifying to know that should I add a new unit with a thirty amp demand sometime in the future I will have plenty of headroom current wise,The unit is compact, practical and cute as a Snicker Bar. (:-))) I am well satisfied with the seller, it wasdelivered on time and in perfect condition.Dan WolffW5UPX
