Four good size pockets on the inside, two little pockets for small items and a zipper pocket above the change pad pocket, 2 zipper pockets on the side; one for wipes and one for sippy cups or whatever you want; and zipper pocket on the back for personal items!Straps: padded and has the same decorative fabric on the top and are adjustable! I was looking for a backpack diaper bag that is big enough to hold a travel potty seat (the kind that you put on the big potty)..but not to big to make it hard or awkward to carry. This bag fits the potty seat perfectly and still has enough room for change of cloths, toys, pull-ups, wipes, etc. all in that main zipper compartment - where there are 2 large open pockets on either side (front and back) and 1 on the side. I really like the BIG Insulated FOOD compartment in the front. It holds several pouches, cup of O's, snacks bib, fork, spoon, etc. etc. It would be good if you still were using bottles too as it has 3 bottle size pockets on the back wall. Then the very front pocket is the Mom Pocket - or at least that's what I use it for. I put my lip balm, my wallet, my phone, my hand cream, etc. etc. in that compartment. The straps are padded and generous in size. It is comfortable to wear. The Navy Blue color means that both myself and my hubby can carry it with no problems. This bag fits my needs! And if you too are in the potty learning stage and you need to carry potty seat with you everywhere you go....then THIS BAG is the one you want!!!! Only issue is the top zipper is difficult to unzip if you're wearing it on your back as the top closes like an old fashioned coin purse. You'd have to set it on the ground flat to have enough pull to unzip. There are enough compartments inside to separate bottles and snacks.
