Quality and it Works!!!!!
Works great. Just like the high priced Panasonic and Milwaukee brand equivalents. Best battery powered screw driver at a reasonable price. If you are unsure just pull the trigger and buy it you will be happy. I use it everyday and the clutch is a must works great so you don't strip threads. Battery last forever, for $75 it's a no brainer.

My 3rd Unit
This is my 3rd Hitachi / Metabo drill screwdriver. Got my 1st one (a Hitachi) as a gift from my kids about 20 years ago and thought: "That's pretty lazy if you need to use an electric screwdriver!" But after a few uses, that's pretty much all I use! Fits in my carpenter jean rule pocket, a set of bits and sockets and I'm ready for almost anything! No, it doesnt have the torque to drive in deck screws (yes, it'll remove them but wont drive them into virgin wood- unless you pre-drill a pilot hole) I pretty much wore out my first Hitachi. It still works ok but pretty beat up! LED doesnt work (the switch) but it keeps torquing away perfectly! Sometimes it bites my hand when it goes from straight to pistol grip but it keeps chugging along! Finally decided to get another one and retire this Hitachi! Well... Hitachi sold and changed names to Metabo! Same product- kinda snazzed up but definately cheaper plastic! Thinner, motor is somewhat slower and less torque than the Hitachi- but basically works just the same! Great unit! Out of all the electric screwdrives I checked out, thios one it tops. ALL the batteries are the same 3.6v - plenty adequate. I did replace the charger unit with a smaller one and relegated the original Hitachi driver to my 'go-box' tool bag in my truck (I have a couple of rental units) Decided to get yet another one- while they're still available. Amazon keeps playing with the price- up and down- and this time when they dropped the price- and had a coupon discount too- I jumped at it! Great, practical and useful tool. Maybe I did get 'lazy' in my old age but once you use it, you'll use it often! Now that I have 3 of these, I have one in my house garage, one in my shop and one in the truck so I dont have to go searching for one! Now I have 6 batteries that only take about 30 min to recharge and seems to last quite a while. It's a great product. Not as 'solid' as the original Hitachi but certainly not one of those cheap flimsy generic Chinese no name screwdrivers! If I needed another one- or needed to give one as a gift, I'd certainly get another on of these. Hopefully, these Metabo's will last as long as the original Hitachi stuff!

Great screwdriver one of my more used power tools.
I am writing a review based on having bought two of these. The first one served me well, but the charger died after several years. I bought a new one because it was more cost effective than buying just the charger. The new one does sound rather gravely compared to my original so we will see if that is an issue down the road All of that being said I really have enjoyed the first one and and this new one seems to be performing well. The batteries have lasted and generally have enough torque for most household jobs. HItachi/Metabo was my goto brand before switching to Milwaukee for cordless tools. This screwdriver better suits my needs than the Milwaukee equivalent. I have liked this tool enough to buy as gifts, which is about as high of praise as I can give.

Very good, functional product
I didn't buy this for the brand name but for what it did and it performs very well. I am a technician that installs PC's in medical offices and I have to assemble 10-100's of monitors & PCs with many small screws. This power screwdriver does exactly what I need it to do, to relieve stress & fatigue in my hands working with many small screws. With a good magnetic screwdriver bit set this driver works very well, particularly the spare battery which is very useful though a full charge usually lasts all day. It is comfortable in the hand either straight or with the handle bent & the buttons are all in the right position. My only critique is that you can leave the light on by mistake which does not turn off by time and you could drain the battery but I didn't need the light so it was not a problem. If you are driving large screws in a building environment this isn't really powerful enough. you are better off with a full size battery drill. Overall a great, well built, very useful power screwdriver.

Top tier E-screwdriver
Used this in construction, and it got the job done. Light weight and small enough to carry in pouch. Warranty is great on it too, I did have some motor issues but I sent it in and true to their word they fixed it free of charge. Just make sure not to abuse it, you don't want to burn your motor out. I would happily recommend this to anyone in the market for one.

Simply Amazing!
I really wish I had bought this a long time ago! Before, I would stick a drillbit on my compact drillโwith combined weight of battery plus tool, it adds up to over 2 lbs. While Iโm accustomed to using the compact drill, it is unwieldy. Then I ordered the Metabo HPT 12v screwdriverโฆ. My life has changed lol! Easy to use, buttons and lightswitch all conveniently placed for easy one handed operation, adjustable clutch is great for torque, batteries lasts a good amount. Plus it is lightweight yet a solid tool (dropped several times from 3โ height, no problem). Highly recommend

Great for lite to medium use!
Picked this because Project Farm reviewed it a bit back and test showed it was good. No regrets so far! I wasn't looking for a High Torque one, just something that'll get basic screw jobs snug. This will do it! I have used it a lot for everyday things such as building/tweaking my gaming computer, tightening cabinets, assembling IKEA stuff, but more recently electrical work. I've been replacing all the outlets and switches in my house and this thing provides the right amount of torque and battery life needed! It has a nifty light button allowing me to leave it on or off based on my needs, even when not using it. I keep the settings on Low Speed and Max Torque., except for faceplates. Makes things snug. If I need to REALLY torque something, I finish by hand. This isn't crazy high in torque, but will do basic screw jobs well. Don't expect it to act like an impact driver. Only 'CON' so far is I wish it had a battery life indicator on it. But you do get 2 batteries that charge somewhat quick at least.

Well made, ergonomic fail
We really wanted this unit to be the replacement for a well worn little foldable driver that we use regularly for light duty in-home tasks. We're not asking it to do heavy duty work as we have a full range of 18v Makita equipment for that. Pros: obviously very well made, nice interchangeable LiPo battery packs, nice case, good build quality, and the Hitachi heritage convinces me that the internals are built to last. You push the button on this thing and it just sounds right. The clutch is a nice feature for a light duty unit. Cons: There are three ergonomic failures in this design that caused us to return it. 1) The location of the rocker switch for running the unit is all wrong. If the unit is straight it's workable. If the unit is in bent/pistol grip mode, the rocker is on the left side of the unit. If you're right handed it sort of falls under your thumb. If you're left handed it's just awkward. All they needed to do was put the rocker on the top when folded (where the lock switch is) and then the switch would be convenient whether in the right or left hand. News flash: one in 7 people is left handed. One of our users is a lefty. This failure alone condemned the unit for us. 2) The nose of this unit is longer than it needs to be. Yes it has a clutch and a motor and some gears up there but let's get real - this is a 3.6 volt unit not some torque monster. My estimation (and I'm a mechanical engineer) is that it could be half as long and still you could fit the necessary mechanics up there. Why is this an issue? Two things. First is control. The closer you hand is to the driven screw the easier it is to precisely locate the bit. And second, sometimes you are working in a tight space and the overall length prevents you from getting in there. 3) The little rubber flap thing at the hinge point is an obvious afterthought. It keeps you from pinching yourself when bending the unit. But it feels awkward under your hand when the unit is bent, and takes a "set" and sort of flaps around when the unit is straight. If we were keeping this unit we'd take that rubber flapper off and take our chances on getting pinched. Bottom line - at this price point Hitachi/Metabo could do better. It's as if the product designer delivered the design and they went straight to production without building prototypes. Then after making units, "oops we have a pinch point" and "gee whiz this lefty just pointed out that the switch would have been better over here but now the molds are built and that'll cost a fortune to fix" You just have to wonder what they were thinking. It went back. We ate the shipping. For a premium product I think we can do better. Too bad, as we wanted to like it.

Awesome piece of kit
Great ptoduct, I bought it because my hands are incapable of using a screw driver anymore. This cordless screwdriver allows me to do the jobs with no effort. Only bad point was that it was 110v and required me to buy a transformer in order to recharge. Apart from that its a 10/10.

Perfect for what is was designed for
This tool is an electrical screwdriver with adjustable torque settings, designed to be used on small electrical appliances, audio & video equipement, alarm system installation, RC cars repairs, and other such light work activities, not at all designed to put up dry walls or assemble outdoor patios and spas (there are other heavier power tools for that). It is of an excellent rugged build quality and very affordable when compared to similar products of other well-known brands. Metabo (Htachi), while being possibly less known than other brands, is a long time power tool manufacturer comparable to Makita, Skills, Milwaukee and other big names. 2 year warranty, including local support, 2 batteries, charger, carrying case, quick-release socket tip, front on-off LED, lightweight (relatively speaking, as it weights about a pound), angled or straight handling, and two speeds (I'm always on the low). I have one at home to work on my RC cars, and one at work for electronic/mechanic assembly work. If you think that it will fit your needs, then buy it, you will absolutely love it! FYI, I also own a small and very quiet oil-less compressor from Metabo, and it too is very well built and well priced (and fully serviceable). July 2021 UPDATE - after several months of usage: still loving it as much as the first day, and enjoying it every single time I use it! ! : ) 100% recommended!
