I don't hate these, but I won't buy them again.
If you're careful about your technique, these can be used, but they are far from the best. Here are the issues:1) It is difficult to crimp the wire in sufficiently without damaging the insulation. If you crimp hard enough, the insulation gets pinched apart. If you don't crimp down hard enough, the wire will slip right out. After doing several, I could not find a "sweet spot" where the crimp was good without damaging the insulation. I do not have this problem with other connectors of the same type, but different brands.2) The heat-shrink insulation does not go far enough down the wire for adequate grip & support in a marine environment. There is, maybe, 1/4 inch of insluation in contact with the wire's insulation, but only if you strip your wire perfectly. (If you don't strip it far enough, you can get a good crimp (see #1, above) and if you strip too much, you have even less match-up between the wire insulation and the connector's heat-shrink insulation.)3) The heat-shrink insulation often extends too far above the end of the connector. The problem with this is... when you heat the insulation & it shrinks into place, it wraps around the end of the connector & so prevents you from being able to plug it in. That is, the insulation covers up part of the slot where the spade is supposed to go in. You end up having to cut away the insulation with a razor, before you can use it.All-in-all, I was able to make these connectors work, but a high percentage had to be re-done during installation. Some still failed after installation & required additional re-application. I have much better luck with the other brands I typically use.My bottom line is a recommendation AGAINST this product.

These are the disconnect terminals you're looking for
Just got these insulated disconnect terminals and did a test crimp of the male and female ends. They are just plain great. Doing some destructive testing, I see they have a wire stop and double metal layer crimp barrel, that gives solid crimps even with a cheap crimper. They crimp extremely firm to the wire, at what I assume is much greater tensile strength than the wire itself.I had got some other fully insulated ones at the local hardware store, "Young" brand, and they were cheap and defective junk. Looking for replacements, I found Ancor seemed like a solid brand. They definitely are high quality and don't even cost much more than the cheapo hardware store ones.I found once these are connected that they are a little overly difficult to disconnect. But there's an easy solution to that. Just take a small flathead screwdriver and slightly bend the female terminal until the connector disconnects with the resistance that you prefer. You can also use a buildup of heat shrink on the ends to make a highly moisture resistant connection.

A lot more effort to use them but it shows that the material is better quality and should hold up better
Compared to other connectors, the force required to crimp this is about 3x as much. A lot more effort to use them but it shows that the material is better quality and should hold up better.

Image is misleading
The image for this item shows a male and a female connector. For the price, this is very overpriced just for 5 female connectors. The description does mention "Female" but after searching extensively, I started believing the images next to items, and ordered this. I paid a high price for not being meticulous about what was on offer. Not like these disconnects are special in any way (other than costing over $2 each!). I felt a bit badly done by but have to take responsiblity for not reading the "Female" in the description.

Extremely hard to disconnect
Extremely hard to disconnect. The internal connection comes apart before it disconnects. Very disappointing product.

" Double stack" or double crimp funnel. A must for boat owners
I have a 30' yacht on which I'm doing some electrical work and in some of the components that are in the electrical panels you will have 2 wires going into a circuit breaker or a switch and this are the double crimp funnels you need to do the job. Auto parts don't carry it, only marine stores, but you'll pay more there. I find out that amazon has it at much lower price, and was delivered in 3 days
