Pwerful little Juicer
I bought this little juicer to use at my moms when I visit and I was surprised at just how powerful this little juicer is! I was able to juice beets, carrots, celery, parsley and lemons with ease! The pulp was very dry including the lemons which was awesome! Out of curiosity I would do little bunches of parsley by itself and it still put out a lot of juice without spitting it all into the pulp cup. The only thing I didn't like and this could have just been a one off, was it likes to spit out the juice so I had to use an old pyrex measuring cup to catch my juice and reduce the mess of the spit and the juice came out. I also found it at times to be a little tricky to remove the basket, but all in all if you are on a budget this is a perfect juicer for your juicing needs. I have only used one other juicer and it was one that was given to me and it was an old Jack LaLane and I was literally going through 30 lemons a week!!! This juicer I was only using 4-5 for a week so that was very cost effective! I also got more juice output with the beets, celery, carrots and parsley. My Jack Lalane hated my parsly and one thick bunch I was able to get if licky 1/8 tsp. I get much more with this juicer! It's easy to clean and not that large. I am happy that I took a chance on this little juicer and I know it will continue to meet my needs when I go to visit my mom. I used it a total of a month (both vegetable juice and lemons) and it seems like it could hold up overtime. It took longer to clean the vegetables and prep them then it did to juice them and clean up

Great Value
I throw any & every thing into the hopper and works great. Literally just wash your fruit & veggies and toss in. I do a combination of beets, celery, cucumber, garlic, apples, carrots & this machine separates and discards all the peels, stems, seeds into the garbage side while juice flows quickly and easily out the juice spout. As a tip, when you are doing several different items at once, try to do dense first and the most water items last so that it will wash out the goodness still in the grinder and throws it out and into the juice. For instance, I do beets first, then carrot then celery & apples last. THEN I add my fresh lemon juice into it while it is still running to again "wash" out the grinding area. Comes apart easily and washing is quite simple as it does come with a bottle brush which is handy and needed for the crevices & nooks. Arrived assembled so no assembly required.

Gateway Juicer: Graduated to a Nama in 2 Weeks
This is a nice juicer to begin your juicing journey. The masticating juicers cost much more and produce more juice but if you're not sure you're ready to make a $400 or more commitment for one of those, this juicer is a good one to start with. I had just gotten back into juicing and I didn't think I wanted to buy a Nama or other expensive masticating juicer to start with. I wasn't sure if I'd really juice a lot. But it turns out, I loved it. I owned a Breville centrifugal juicer many years ago and it was messy, loud and a lot of work for a little juice and that juicer was expensive. This juicer is cheaper than my old Breville and works much, much better. So I quickly found myself juicing for myself and my husband everyday, reviewing juicing recipes on You Tube. I got crazy about fresh green juices. I love the stuff. For comparison, the juice bar near us charges $11 for a 16 green juice which we would treat ourselves to periodically. So using the juicer everyday, sometimes twice a day and reviewing recipes and such on YouTube, I quickly came across masticating juicers and the Nama juicer specifically and comparison videos, recipes etc. Long story short, it became apparent to me that I just wasn't getting enough juice out of my produce with this juicer. You can literally watch and see how little juice comes out when juicing greens. I felt like I wasting produce and money. Also, I wanted to make nut milk, which the Nama juicer does and sorbet which the Nama juicer also does. Nut milk is delicious and very infrequently, because of the cost, I treat myself to a bottle, specifically cashew milk which, when mixed with dates and vanilla, tastes like ice cream. If you do a juice cleanse through a juice shop, which I've done a few, cashew milk is the dessert. It goes for about $10-12 for a 16 oz bottle. So it's nice to a make that home. This Hamilton Beach juicer unfortunately doesn't do that. Also, sorbet is regular favorite at my house and we use a separate ice cream maker or the Ninja bullet to make it sometimes. Again, the Hamilton Beach juicers don't do that. So after two weeks and making juice 1-2 times each day for two people, about 32 oz, I figured the Nama was worth the investment for us. So we're gifting the Hamilton Beach juicer to a friend. So pros: -It makes juice, no problem. -Super easy to clean and operate which makes it more likely you will continue to use it. -It is loud, but like a vacuum cleaner. But I previously owned a Breville many years ago and it was crazy loud, Like a power saw. This juicer is quieter than the old Breville juicers. -Very affordable The cons: -If you really get into juicing and start juicing everyday or every other day, you will recognize that it takes a lot of produce to make a little juice unless you're using produce with lots of water i.e. cucumbers, oranges, celery. -This juicer will not generate a lot of juice from greens. So if you're really into green juicing either 1) get ready to buy a lot of greens to generate even a reasonable amount of juice 2) expect to add more fruits that already have a lot of water in them i.e. cucumbers, celery, pineapples in order to produce more juice overall or 3) get a masticating juicer which will produce more juice from greens -The pulp does come out pretty wet. It will be messy, but you can actually run the pulp through the juicer a second time, especially for citrus fruits, because that's how wet it comes out the juicer. -Also, one review said the juicer jumps around on the counter. That can't be accurate. The juicer is incredibly stable on the counter. It has rubber braces on the bottom, so it doesn't move at all. What does happen however is that the produce may jump or bounce around once it goes into the mouth that leads to the blades. It's not horrible but I did have pieces of fruit even and entire apple wedge jump back out of the mouth of the juicer. It's not really bad, you just have to quickly put the produce in and then follow with the stopper to put it down and keep it from coming back up, which I may have been slow in doing.

Money well spent.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it very well. Considering the quality, price, and functionality... It deserves every bit of 5 stars. It is a tad loud, as others have mentioned, and it will jump a bit from the torque when you first turn it on (so hold it for 2 seconds), but otherwise it's a fantastic device. ~Juice Production: 4/5, I'm sure the slow, crushing (~$300) juicers get more, but this thing puts out a ton of juice per item. ~Quality of materials: 5/5, Yea, it's plastic, but it holds up great and is super easy to clean. Which brings me to... ~Ease of Cleaning: 5/5. Everything that gets dirty can be detached and rinses away effortlessly. The metal sifter can be gently, and effortlessly, cleaned with the included brush. If you clean it AS SOON AS YOU'RE DONE, which you're directed to do by the manual anyways, it really is pretty easy. Final Rating Thoughts: This juicer preforms way above what is expected for the cost. I'd recommend it to anyone. Other Thoughts: When I juice, I put a grocery bag (I save mine, a lot of households do) into the pulp bin to catch everything that isn't juice. This makes cleanup a LOT easier. Just unhook, scrape anything off of the lid of the juicer into the bag, and then tie and toss it (or turn into casserole, chewy bars, compost it, etc.) I toss mine currently, as I do not have a garden, and am on a juice fast. If you actually read and follow the manual, you're going to enjoy using this juicer. PUT a plastic bag in the pulp bin before use. CLEAN the machine as soon as you're done using it before everything dries on. BE gentle with the metal sifter, clean it gently with the included brush. DON'T start the machine with something already in it. Etc. Etc. Etc Other Other Thoughts: I'm doing a juice fast, nothing but fresh produce, vegetables and fruit, for as long as I can stand it. I'm 24 years old, 5'10", and started at 280 pounds. I have always been extremely unhealthy, never eaten what's important for my body, and shoveled in manufactured foods from everywhere but the fresh produce or even the meat section. I'm a normal as s*** every day guy, I work 40 a week, and play video games and study for certs in my spare time. I'm not a "hippie" or a "naturalist"... I'm a guy who in just 3 days is feeling better than he ever has and has already dropped 5 pounds. If you have ANY interest in this, check out "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead 2" on Netflix. This is the first "diet" I've ever felt good about, and the first time I've actually lost weight. Removing carbs, "going gluten free", counting calories... It's never worked for me and left me lacking any energy to exercise. That only happened the first day since juicing. My energy on day 2 was consistent all day, I went for a long walk, worked my eight hours, and woke up today feeling fantastic. Still feeling BETTER THAN EVER.

Amazing Little Big Mouth!
I made an order online on November 20th, 2015, Friday. It came on November 24th, 2015 Tuesday. Crazy fast, and it was regular shipping to Sacramento, California. I just bought an Omega 2006 juicer at the local Fry's Electronic here on Sunday for over $300 (including tax). It was slow, heavy, and big. I juiced it once, and it did a good job. Today, I used the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth. It is FAST, light, and small. I am going to return the Omega 2006 and keep this little Big Mouth Hamilton juicer. I love it. Within SECONDS, I had a cup of cucumber liquid (one whole cucumber). How many cucumbers are you really going to put into this machine? And how many cups can you really drink or need to drink? ONE is the answer. ONE is enough. Then I put in 4 full size carrots and got OVER a cup of pure carrot liquid juice! How amazing is that? And it was ALL UNDER 15 seconds! Let's look at this realistically, folks. I'm a very healthy and fit early-middle aged, 95% raw vegan (I use salad dressings, grapefruit drinks, etc. here and there). You really only need to drink about 1/2 to a full cup of any sort of veggie, such as carrots or cucumbers every OTHER day. This machine is NOT for soft fruits. Why juice an orange or berry when you can EAT them? That's a no-brainer. I have a $500 Vitamix 200 series for fruits blending. The Big Mouth Hamilton is ONLY used for hard fruits. I would not put any lefty green in it. I put spinach and a little bit of broccoli (you honestly don't need kale or any other leafy green if you're blending every day or other day). Now about the Big Mouth Hamilton itself. If you order the ugly color (white/green), it's only $46.99. That's a huge bargin! The motor is cheap. Everything about it is plastic, except the mesh or strainer (stainless steel), which cuts the veggie into liquid form. I can make this machine last for 10 years! How? Juice only 1-3 cup of whatever per day, every other day. Only turn the machine on long enough to juice whatever you have prepared in advance. So this means that the machine is only used LESS than 20 seconds per day! If you time that 2-4 days a week, it's still less than 5 minutes. Now you get the idea. Why on earth would you leave the machine on longer than you have too? The machine is loud, like a Vitamix blender. The Big Mouth Hamilton WILL craw across your kitchen table. Haha. It scared the be-jesus out of me! The machine will spit a few veggie out of the chute or where you put the food in! Haha. It takes less than 5 minutes to clean. Eventually the mesh or strainer will wear out within 1-2 years. That's the only thing I see wearing out from natural use. You can preserve that for 3-5 years if you cut your veggie in long, thin pieces. Being this is a cheap product that produces amazing results, you really don't have to take care of it, such as washing it with soap or drying it with a towel. I only use hot water rinse and air dry immediately after each usage. The best part about this product is that if it broke, I would re-order it immediately again tomorrow. Remember, it's only $46.99 plus tax. I went to Grocery Outlet and bought a HUGE full sized carrot bag for $1.99! That would probably produce 5-7 cups of carrots! How cheap is that?! Haha. And cucumbers, 2 for $1.00! 1 cucumber equal about 1 cup of juice! So that's .50 for a cup of cucumber juice! Amazing! I hope this brutally honest review helps. I so love my life!

Good Budget Juicer, But Leaves a Lot of Juice in the Pulp
I purchased this juicer in 2024 but didn’t actually use it until last month when I started a small juice business. Overall, it works as intended and, for the price, it gets the job done. However, after using it for larger batches, I noticed a few limitations that are worth mentioning. My biggest concern is the juice yield, particularly with pineapples. The first time I used the machine, I juiced several pineapples and assumed the output was normal. When I went to discard the pulp, I noticed it felt unusually wet but didn’t think much of it. The second time I juiced pineapples for an order, I decided to strain the pulp through a cheesecloth before throwing it away. That was when I realized just how much juice was still trapped in the pulp. To give some perspective, I got about 4.5 liters of juice directly from juicing five large pineapples, then recovered an additional ~4 liters simply by squeezing the pulp through a cheesecloth. Had I not strained it, all of that juice would have gone to waste. In fact, I initially overestimated how many pineapples I needed for my recipes because I was using the machine’s direct output from my first batch as my baseline. Interestingly, I didn’t experience the same issue with high-moisture fruits like watermelon and oranges. The machine separated the juice and pulp much more effectively, and there was very little additional juice left in the pulp after straining. Another downside is that the juicing process can be a bit messy. I experienced some leakage around the machine during use, although I’m not sure whether that is a design issue or specific to my unit. Overall, this juicer is fine for occasional home use and offers reasonable value for the price. However, if you juice frequently or are making juice on a small-business scale, the lower juice output can result in wasted produce, extra labor, and longer processing times. I’ll be upgrading to a higher-end juicer for that reason, but I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

Great for weight loss and a beginner juicer!
This is a great juicer for a beginner! I wasn't sure if I'd really stick to juicing, so I wasn't interested in spending $300 on one! I'm sure those models are great, but I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment! :) Anywho...I got this one after reading the reviews, and it is great! A little loud, but it's only on for a few minutes at a time while your making juice, so it's not a big deal. I love the wide mouth on this thing. A juicer I've used before (can't remember the brand) had a really narrow mouth, and you had to cut the fruits into little pieces to fit them in. Total pain. Plus it just added to the time it took to prep the ingredients. Since you could drive a small vehicle through the mouth of this bad boy, the prep time is minimal. If you're buying this because you watched a documentary on Netflix like I did, then you won't be disappointed. I've always eaten a lot of veggies, but I slack on getting fruit into my diet. I don't like sweet things that much, so I've always preferred broccoli to an apple. I'm weird like that! Even though I eat a bunch of veggies in my regular diet, I know I wasn't getting enough in to give me all of the nutrients that I needed. Juicing has totally changed my diet and added in a LOT of fresh produce that I wouldn't normally consume in that kind of quantity on any given day. I'm not one of those crazies that went on a juicing cleanse for a month, only drinking juice for food, and living like a thirsty rabbit. That's not my kind of thing. Instead, I simply added in ONE juice a day to my morning routine. Now for breakfast I have a fresh juice, two egg cups (eggs and veggies cooked in a muffin tin), and a cup of coffee. I've been doing this for about 3 1/2 weeks, and I've lost over 10 lbs! I really haven't changed anything else. Just adding a juice. Now I do live a pretty healthy lifestyle in that I avoid processed food, eat an overall balanced diet, and try to get in 4+ workouts a week, but I was doing all of that for several years BEFORE I started juicing, and yet just adding a juice a day has made a huge impact on my weight! Also, I've been in an obnoxiously good mood since I started, I have more energy, and my skin looks awesome! I cannot rave about the benefits of juicing enough! I've tried several juices that are great, but my favorite is the green juice. So good! And full of fruits and veggies so it's not all sugar! 1 cucumber 4 stalks of celery 3+ handfuls of spinach or kale (whatever you have handy) 2 apples 1/2 of a lime or lemon (with the rind) This makes a good 32 oz of juice...yeah, that much. It's a lot of juice. You can add other things like carrots, or extra apples if you want it sweeter, or kiwis, or strawberries, or ginger, etc. It's a very versatile recipe. I find that I end up adding in extra stuff towards the end of the week so I can use it before it spoils. My last juice of the week is usually a hodge podge of random produce that I have in my fridge just waiting to be pulverized and drank! My only complaint about this juicer is that the juice catcher isn't quite big enough for my green juice, so I have to use a bigger container under the spout. Also, if it's available in your area, buy your produce at Aldi or any number of other low cost grocery stores. My juicing ingredients for 7 days only costs me about $35, which is totally worth it. OR pick your juice recipes based on the produce that's in them. There are recipes all over the internet for juicers, but some call for expensive ingredients, whereas you can find many that use cheaper things like cucumber, carrots, celery, apples, etc. Or just buy your produce on sale and make your juices up as you go along. I haven't had one yet that tastes bad. Good luck!!!

Not right voltage!!!
This was supposed to be 220. It is only 110. Because of the holidays we opened it after 3 weeks and now we are stuck with a juicer that we and no one in this are of the world can use.

It works, It has solid motor, with minor tweaks!
I had this juicer for more than 3 years. Guess what! I used it countless times to squeeze Apple juice from Apple bulks that I usually buy from a local farm. To say that I squeezed 500-600 pounds of apples is understatement. I squeezed Empire, Gala, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Macintosh, Honey Crisp…etc. Hundreds and hundreds of pounds, so I can claim I have enough experience with it. Here is what you need to know: 1- Does it work? Yes it does. It served us well over 3 years, and still working. The motor is powerful. I usually do 80-100 pounds of Apple at once, and this produces at least 8-12 litres of Apple juice, depending on the apple type; Empire and Honey Crisp tends to produce more juice than the other types. 2- Is it noisy? It definitely is super noisy. If noise is a concern, you should look elsewhere. 3- Will it work for small patches? Of course it does, you will get a 500-600 ML of juice after squeezing 4-5 apples, again this depends on the type and size of your apples. 4- How easy is it to clean? It is relatively easy. You undo two handles, remove the top 3 pieces, and done. Wash them and you are back to business. 5- How pure is the juice vs. The foam or pomace? Here is the key thing! While this machine is super powerful and it produces good yield of apple juice, I found out that after 15-18 apples, I must disassemble it and clean it; mainly the shredder or shredding piece, it has very very tiny holes, so using force water and brush, I need to clean it every 15-18 apples or so, this greatly minimizes the foam/pomace and increases the pure juice. This is the critical aspect of this machine. If the company could do a better design, it means more juice, and less cleaning. Does it bother me or slow me down? Not at all, for $89,99, this is fantastic machine, compared to nearly $499 ones. 6- How flimsy is it? Well, the motor seems solid, but the handles that attach the top lid to the base are fragile. I handle them with care. They have not broken yet, but I expect them to break any moment now. Yet, for $89.99 it is reasonable. 7- Does it have a jug for the produced juice? No. This is another thing that bothers me. You have to place a cup, then keep emptying that cup into a container or so. I see this machine super powerful for small cups. I mean, it’s designed to produce lots and lots of juice, so you would expect it to come with a 1 or 1.5 litre jug, but it does not. For people who squeezes 3-4 apples for one time cup, it is not an issue. But if you intend to produce litres of apple juice, for baking, cooking or partying, then, the machine needs a larger jug. Hope this review helps. Will I buy it again after this one breaks? Definitely yes!
