Carlson - Co-Q10, Co-Enzyme Q10, 200 mg, Energy Production & Heart Function, 90 Softgels

Carlson is one of my favorite supplement companies. They are very conscientious in their products. I always check them first when looking for a new supplement.

Fresh product, great quality.

As with any supplement, it is difficult to know for sure how and how much they are helping as no supplement will solely improve everything. It's a combination of healthy habits that gets you there. So I generally base my review on there not being any side-effects once I switch to a new supplement. So far I have not experienced any and all else has remained the same so based on that I'd say this has been a good addition to my regimen.

Several decades ago I had some mouth/gum surgery and the surgeon gave me some CoQ10 capsules to take after the surgery, suggesting that this aids in healing and has many health benefits. Ever since then, I've done more research and have been taking CoQ10 supplements like this one - usually 1 every other day so as not to overload my system. This Carlson brand is more costly than the ones I've been using - however, I looked up a different brand and theirs had 100 mg capsules with 60 pills/bottle for $41. This bottle contains 200 mg per supplement with 90 pills/bottle, so for certain quality brands this price point is on par with some other brands. (Carlson also makes CoQ10 with varying mg and pills per bottle at a lower cost.) The capsule is a little bigger than I like, but still tolerable to take. It's about .9" long. I do like that it includes a small amount of Vitamin E in the capsule and that Carlson Labs are an FDA registered facility (their site says they've been around since 1965). I don't like that it includes some trace amounts of titanium dioxide for color (they could do away with that for my vote), plus the bottle does not indicate that this product is manufactured with GMP certification or compliance (does 'FDA registered facility' negate the need for this?). It does not state that these are 3rd party tested, but CoQ10 has been around a long time and is not new to the health craze of supplements. These took a long time to arrive - ordered 8/22/24 & delivered 9/07/24, but with the Dec 2027 exp. date I think it's a fresher batch. I am taking these with confidence that the pros of CoQ10 and this brand can be trusted. My heart and energy levels will benefit from these supplements. And I do love that they say this on their site: "The full Carlson product line is recyclable and 100% plastic neutral. Carlson offsets the plastic in our products through investments in certified plastic removal projects taking place in our global waterways."

As someone trying to keep their blood pressure under control and improving my bodies energy utilization, I found these to be a good addition to my existing, diet and exercise routine. They are easy to swallow and thus far, I have experienced no ill effects. On the positive side I've had some of my best blood pressure readings as of late, though (to be clear) these are not the soul responsibility for that. All-in-all, these are well priced supplements which do a good job of augmenting your overall dietary health protocol. These are a bit on the expensive side but the manufacture is respected lab so I'm going to trust that it is a matter of, you get what you pay for! 4.5-stars rating for me.

This product contains titanium dioxide, a food coloring used in candies, like Starburst, M & Ms, and mints. In small amounts, like you find in candy, it's harmless. But would you want this product in a nutritional compound you're taking to improve your health? Healthline.com explains that, "Though the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) categorizes titanium dioxide as Generally Recognized as Safe (8), other organizations have issued warnings. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has concluded that titanium oxide should not be considered safe as a food additive, due to uncertainties about possible inflammation and neurotoxicity (9Trusted Source)." I bought this product, but had to toss it because I didn't catch the ingredient list before I paid $65. And Carlson does not offer refunds. I don't want risky products, even if it's a by-product, while I am trying to increase health and strength.

I take 400 mg per day of Co-Q10, and witching to this brand for a month has shown no change in health. Tasteless and odorless. No adverse side-effects that I have noticed.

This is Carlson CoQ10. A trusted well-known name in nutrition is carlson. Thus you are getting a top-notch supplement. It's a little pricey but this is the real thing. I feel CoQ10 is a great antioxidant that I value to help protect my body. Along with other nutrients such as quercetin, alpha lipoic acid and others you are getting good quality here. I value antioxidants in there purported ability to protect against free radicals as they scavenge those out of the body I am told. Keep in mind I am not a healthcare practitioner or doctor trying to recommend anything or cure anyone these are simply my own opinions. With my own experience. Your results May vary. High quality supplement here from Carlson, a well-known nutraceutical company. With a great reputation.
