Really The Best Gun Safe Dehumidifier Money Can Buy
I really dont understand some of the negative reviews about this dehumidifier. Most are related to the electrical plug that has to be attached to the cord, as the factory leave it off in case you are sleeving the small cord thru a hole on the safe to reach an outside plug. So you have to slip on the cord cap to the cable and it has 2 blades that dig into the cable to make contact. YOU MUST PUSH THE CABLE ALL THE WAY IN TO THE CORD CAP AS HARD AS YOU CAN and it will make contact. I am a license Master Electrician and when I first did it, the item did not turn on. There is a blue light on the unit showing you when it is on. So I pulled it apart and really pushed the cable inside the cord cap and it worked perfect after that. A very small amount of air comes out of the top of the unit and my 30 gun safe went from 77% humidity to 30% overnight. DOES NOT MAKE YOUR GUN SAFE HOT like the other brands out there. I did not want my safe hot as I also store silver and gold inside it as well. Heat is the worst thing for precious metals. This item does the trick. So if you have guns and precious metals you dont want hot like other gun safe dehumidifiers, this is the one to get. In fact, I cant believe anyone has anything else. I had a 12 inch heating rod from a prominent company that I used for years. It is now prominently and appropriately in the local garbage landfill.

It worked great putting it in my gun safe

Get one they work
This is my second one, the first is working 3 years later . Peet is the way to go because the fan gently moves air around as compared to ones using radiating heat. No smell, dampness, easy to install, serves it's function. Perfect size for a 300 cf area. Price is well worth the investment as it will last for years.

Does what itโs meant to do!
This is a nice compact heat source for the purpose of dehumidification. Whether it works better than a radiant source like a heat bar is debatable but in an enclosed space it has been sufficient in keeping temperatures constant even against the present weather. Iโd buy it again for my application

Working great for over 2 years and keeps my safe nice and dry!
If you have power or can get power to your safe, you need one of these. I have a nothing fancy 22 gun fire safe. The safe had a small hole in the back at the bottom. I un-wired a multiple outlet power strip, fed the wire though the small hole and then rewired the power strip. I initially did this so I could connect up an LED lighting kit without relying on batteries in the safe. Since I now had power, I found this and thought it would be great replacement for my oven bake-able cylinder dehumidifying canister. I live in the south so air in and around the house is very humid during the summer months and nearly all year round. When I replaced the canister with this it held the humidity in the safe to about 50%. I did this for about 2 months then added the canister back in and now humidity stays between 40% and 45% consistently. Now I only have to bake my canister every 2 months vs 3 weeks now. So this thing does work. When it is plugged in you can barely feel any heat coming out of the top, but it is working. So far, no issues or problems to date. Going on over 2 years of operation. The size and design are also nice. I have it tucked into the back corner of the safe in the area which I consider to be unusable gun storage.

CAUTION!!! COULD CATCH FIRE!!!
If I could leave zero stars for this I would. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you are looking for your firearms/valuables to go up in smoke... or worse, your home. I was looking to replace my dehumidifier rod in my gun safe with something better so I decided to give this a try. After receiving it in the mail today, I assembled the cord and outlet plug per the instructions provided with it. After emptying out my safe so I could place this in a back corner, I plugged it into the interior outlet of my safe. Immediately upon plugging it in, a spark shot out and my breaker tripped. I do not see this having a very large draw so it is very concerning that it managed to trip the breaker. I also noticed that the tip on one of the outlet prongs had partially melted as a result of this. I have a top of the line Liberty safe with an interior outlet and I have never encountered such a problem with any of the dehumidifying rods. Just to verify it was nothing on my end and that it still worked, I reset my breaker and plugged this unit into a wall outlet ditectly. Nothing crazy happened when plugging it in and it soon began warming up as it should. So after letting it run for a few minutes I unplugged it. When I pulled the plug out, an even larger spark shot out this time, scorching my outlet. I will be returning this item and will also be seeking reimbursement costs for replacing my outlet. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase. Hopefully the customer service with this company is better than the quality control. I have attached pictures to show how dangerous this product is. I was very excited to try this out but I now will be sticking with the good old reliable rod and cans of silica pellets.

Not worth the money, doesn't put out enough to exchange the air and keep up in a cooler climate
