Haggar Men's Cool 18 Pleat Front Hidden Expandable Waist Short-Regular and Big & Tall Sizes

What a surprise. I bought these on sale, somewhat hesitant, thinking they would probably be only worth what I paid for. On the contrary. These are very well made. Wear nice on the golf course or going out to dinner. These are not old man shorts. Wash well too. I went back and bought several other colors. The expandable waistline is a hidden comfort I like - especially for my size 44 waist. Was not expecting this type of quality from Haggar. Well done!

Hey... I only wish this was a routine issue...Nice pants... but a little snug where you might either enjoy... or cringe.Not bad enough to send back... but not the comfortable fit of some other shorts.Just my two cents... and two stars.

These shorts were made of a nice material with a good drape. The pleat was crisp, and the expandable waistline was a nice touch. My husband was very pleased with them in terms of fit and comfort, but we unfortunately had to return them due to the color.

Fit is great and room to grow. I bought additional colors. The only issue is I am looking for a rear pocket button as it broke. I would defiantly buy additional pairs.

The material is very nice and they came out of the dryer wrinkle free. They are a good length and fit true to size. The color is pretty too.

I have three pairs of these shorts in different colors all purchased at local stores including a Haggar Outlet. I live in Florida so the light weight is appreciated.The quality is good, price reasonable, classy looking, expandable waist a plus, size accurate. I have had them drycleaner so cannot comment on wash ability. They do wrinkle but not excessively and will steam or light iron out. I can't comment on staining - have not dropped anything that stained them. I have noticed variability in the inseam. Specifically the crotch seems to vary. One pair which are new I am returning because the crotch is too tight. I believe other reviews have also mentioned this. So try them on before removing labels to insure a comfortable fit. I tend to wear them more as a dress short and wear standard 100% cotton heavier weight shorts for yard work, car washing etc. In general I have found these Haggar shorts to be satisfactory. BTW if you gain some weight around the waist and the shorts become tight you can cut the elastic on both insides of the shorts and gain extra waist space without effecting the appearance or wear ability. I did this one pair and also for another brand. I hope this review helps.

The expandable waist line is a terrific advantage for comfort and fit, especially if you are between standard sizes. In that case I would advise you to buy the smaller size. The material and the color is excellent. My one cavail is that I prefer a slightly longer inseam, but I am very pleased with the purchase.

Please, please add a tech pocket on the Front side of otherwise great shorts. As the shopper in the family, I buy clothes for my husband. We both have looked in vain for dressy quality shorts with a smaller pocket for his smartphone. Docker's used to make Khaki shorts with one but have not found any for more than 2 years. Cargo shorts pockets are too big, clunky-looking and placed wrong. Please - a narrow tech pocket on the FRONT side, not the back of the pants where one sits or has to reach around.
