P & L Superior Pet Beds Heavy Duty Oval Waterproof Softee Bed, Jumbo, 97 x 74 x 25 cm, Green

Bought this earlier in the year and have wiped it clean and been ok but today washed it down with the hose to clean properly and definitely NOT waterproof. Now left with sodden bed and hoping the sun will dry it or else I'll have a very unhappy dog to match her very unhappy owner!Update. After contacting the company they are sending me a replacement. Very good customer service and swift response.

Good dog bed. Tough. My 20 month lab cross seems happy with it. She has tried beating it up without success.An update, 9 months on. Bed still intact despite her attempts to beat it up. Thought I'd add a photo

This bed looks great, my dogs love them. Really comfortable and waterproof so I thought ‘great!’. Then my 7 month old puppy decided to start peeing on it. No problem I thought, we’ve had pee pants before. Instructions say wipe clean and rinse, so I spot wiped 2 or 3 times. Wash weekend came and I gave it a good scrub with cleaning solution and hot water, then rinsed off in the shower as per instructions and waited for it to drip dry. All good I thought, looks clean! Oh no, it wasn’t. It stunk of stale pee, so I scrubbed thoroughly again and rinsed, then scrubbed a second time and rinsed again. The bed is still dripping out dirty pee water at this point. So another 2 soapy scrubs and rinses and still dripping pee water. I’m now dripping salty water from my eyes at this stage. After several more rinses it’s still the same, and can’t tell you how bad it still smells. Needless to say I now refuse to use it again unless some smell remover fairy waves her magic wand over it. My poor boy is rather sad he hasn’t got his potty bed to lie on at this point. It says not to immerse in water so putting it in the washing machine shouldn’t be an option, but I will try it - if I can actually get it inside my machine. I’m expecting it to be ruined but you never know, worth a try, because the only option afterwards is to throw it away. Not what I want after 1 week of use and nearly £70 spent. A removable waterproof cover would have been absolute genius but alas no. So if you have a pee pants then don’t buy this. On the upside he doesn’t chew it. *eye roll*

Fantastic beds. I already have the jumbo rectangular version for my GSD but wanted a smaller one for my medium sized GSD cross (who uses the big one more than my GSD). The jumbo bed is HUGE so I just bought the medium bed in the oval shape. Wish I'd bought the large as these come up smaller than the rectangular ones. However, she snuggles up in it and uses the bigger one when she wants to lay flat out (my GSD is too big for the oval bed so ends up on the carpet!!).I've had the original bed for about 18 months and it has perfectly kept it's shape and is easy to hoover up and wipe down with a damp cloth so I'm expecting the same with this bed. Really top quality and better than other expensive beds that I've bought but that haven't lasted.

These are brilliant beds , the oval jumbo is a lot smaller than the rectangular jumbo & a lot lower , this is my second bed as I brought the jumbo rectangular which is great for my younger female, but my older Male struggles to get in & out, the Oval bed is lower for him, I haven't had to wash them yet so cannot comment & I put waterproof sheet over a duvet for the base as my female is slightly incontinent & that really helps , but they are really good beds that fold down really well if you want to take them on holiday for your dogs , fast delivery, I wouldn't buy any others now

I really like this bed and like others I have tried a few over the years, the bed is not waterproof and does absorb water is exposed to it for long enough however if you poured a glass of water onto it and tipped it off quick enough it certainly would not permeate the bed.Fair to say water resistant I think.I would give this bed 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that after a while the hair seems to stick to the bed and without heavy brushing from a stiff brush it is nearly impossible to get off, water won't help as it simply runs over it, this aside it is a high quality bed and worth spending the extra money.It will need to be supplemented with a blanket for comforts sake and another wonderful feature is that the bed does not smell at all.

My dogs have eaten and chewed everything we have bought them. This was a last resort expensive but the amount I've spent over the years I wish I had this from the start! We got a vet bed mat and put that in and the doggos love it to bits. Fingers crossed the no chewing continues!!

This bed is great it's so sturdy and it is water room you you can rinse it down and leave to dry and it will be fine you can also hoover it. I use it as a liner inside my Stafford plastic bed but it's easily lifted out and moved around the house as you can see in the picture the dog loves it as it's so comfy and warm for hin, does not smell like soft fabric beds
