Great Taste.. .Still need to improve packaging, and make sure 12lbs is 12lbs.
I accidentally ordered two of these (I only meant to get one). I am not unhappy that I got them. I AM unhappy that I lost several ounces due to one of the containers leaking in the shipping box. I had known this might be an issue from previous comments, so I made sure to keep an eye out for the box and check it as soon as it arrived. I was able to keep from losing too much because the shipper didn't bother to keep both containers upright. It was in an Amazon box, so I can only guess that Amazon shipping personnel packed them from a holding warehouse. The reason I find this relevant is because one pail was packaged in the box SIDEWAYS, contributing to the leakage. The other pail appeared to be intact and not leaking. They were put in a medium-large Amazon box with the strips of big bubble packing for cushioning of the extra empty space. Honey was spread over a decent area of the side and bottom of the box, the bubble packing, and both containers, so at some point the box was set on it's side for a while, and then transferred to a correct orientation. It should be marked as a "This side up only" box when being shipped... but I don't know that there is a way to specify that. That precaution is also a moot point if the shipper doesn't pack both containers oriented in the same direction...... As it is, the pails are labeled as containing 12lbs... but my digital scale says not so much, even from the container that was not leaking. I had to add several ounces from a 32oz bottle of (not Cox's) honey I had on hand to get to 12lbs for a batch of mead I was making. This doesn't even account for the weight of the container. I went a tiny bit over 12lbs when adding honey to the one I was using at the time for my batch of mead, and didn't think to add an ounce or two to account for the pail's weight. I know it can be difficult to get sealing large containers in a way that is easy to open correct, but I would rather it be slightly harder to open it, if I get the entirety of my ordered product delivered. I do think the pails are nice quality, with good sturdy plastic and solid handles, and I regularly use the emptied container from my first batch of mead as a catch-all for used equipment that I need to wash and sterilize. It's just the lid seal that needs work. Would I buy this again.... possibly, but not for a while. The flavor on the clover variety I purchased is great, the thickness was not watery like in some reviews (Some honey can be thin depending on the time of year and regional humidity where it is produced. This is a natural occurrence due to the amount of water in the honey as the bees produce it), and the pail is useful even once emptied. I would even re-purpose the pail as an aging container for my mead in 1-gallon batches if the lid had a better seal. I am going to try out a different seller with (almost) local honey that sells in a 5-gallon pail first. I find myself needing more honey that I ever thought possible with this new hobby... Cox's Honey doesn't offer 5-gallon pails that I can find.... and it would have to beat the price on my other pick, as well, if they did.

Very good honey.
This will be the 21st bucket I have purchased in the last few years.Packeging being sealed is a plus.Perhaps 3 out of 20, I had to boil to make them viscous.I like it with my tea in the evening. Very good honey,I won`t stop cause of a little misshap at times.

great tasting honey
We order this frequently and like the product, however 8 out of 10 times the bucket leaks and creates a sticky mess.

Wish it was cheaper I’m going to buy it regularly
Honey is expensive but this was the cheapest I could find in bulk and it’s quality was top shelf. Used It to make 4 gallons of mead , it was perfectly flavored honey just so delicious. It broke down into must with no residue and the must lost none of that rich honey flavor in the process of watering down the honey. Once it became must it Didn’t separate it remained perfectly sweet honey water right through to fermentation and flavoring. I will buy more in the near future I have little doubt as I’m regretting using up all the must it was amazing by its self let alone with raspberry’s.

Excellent quality
This is the best honey we have ever used! Excellent flavor and quality. We use it in all of our baking, in sandwiches, on waffles, to soothe coughs, etc. The kids even eat it by the spoonful. We’ve used only Cox’s Honey for over five years now and don’t plan on ever switching. If you are looking for quality at an excellent price this is the way to go! We love that it is raw and natural. We haven’t had any problems with our honey crystallizing either which is a big plus in our house!
