Does this product need CO2 to remove the liquid from the keg?

Yes, CO2 is needed to remove the liquid from the keg. The CO2 does a couple of things. First, it keeps the beer carbonated and second, it provides the pressure you need to push the beer out of the keg and into your glass. Make sure you have enough tubing on the beer side so that you don’t get a lot of foam.

How to disinfect for the first use?

Disinfect with disinfectant first, then rinse with clean water.

This is made of stainless steel and does not contain lead.
