My staple go-to PETG filament
I always buy this brand of filament and never have any issues. Never tangles, prints well, great value and makes nice prints. Highly recommended. I print this on my Creality K1

Pretty good, nice quality, poor winding
I've used this filament for quite a while now, the bulk of it I have used to print parts to upgrade my printer. I've had no specific issues with the filament, it seems to print very well on my Prusa MK3S+ and the colour is pretty nice. The only minus point is because the winding on the spool is terrible, it's atrocious, to the point that I've never seen spools from other manufacturers like this. This seems to be a common thing with eSUN filament, every spool I have and have opened has been badly wound...but... Yes, there's a but! The winding, although poor, has thus far just been cosmetic, bad winding is only really an issue if the winding has not gone onto the spool properly, a long as the filament is wound on without coming loose, then it will come off the same way. Generally speaking, when people moan or complain about badly wound spools, it's because of something they've done and not the manufacturer, it's pretty much impossible for the manufacturer to spool filament onto a reel in a manner than it will tangle on the way off the real.

Great PETG Filament, but Needs Z-Axis Tweaks for Better Adhesion
I purchased the eSUN PETG Filament 1.75mm in Solid Grey as an upgrade from PLA, and while it delivers strong and durable prints, I initially struggled with bed adhesion. Adjusting the Z-axis height helped resolve the issue, and now it prints reliably. ✔️ What I Liked: ✅ Strong and Tough Prints – PETG is far more durable than PLA while still being easy to print with. Ideal for functional parts and mechanical prints. ✅ Consistent Solid Grey Color – The filament has a clean, uniform grey tone that gives prints a sleek, professional look. The surface finish is smooth with a slight sheen. ✅ Good Layer Adhesion – Once the first layer sticks, the prints are strong with no delamination even on larger or taller objects. ✅ Minimal Stringing with Proper Tuning – PETG is known for stringing, but after tweaking retraction and temperature settings, I managed to reduce it significantly. ❌ What Could Be Better: ⚠️ Bed Adhesion Needs Some Work – Compared to PLA, this PETG required extra adjustments to get a good first layer. I had to lower my Z-offset slightly to improve adhesion. Using a glue stick or PEI sheet also helps. ⚠️ Hygroscopic – Needs Dry Storage – Like all PETG, it absorbs moisture quickly. Keeping it in a dry box or using a filament dryer will ensure optimal prints. ⚠️ Higher Print Temps Required – Nozzle needs 230-250°C and the heated bed should be at 70-90°C, which might be tricky for beginners switching from PLA. 💡 Final Verdict: The eSUN PETG Solid Grey filament is an excellent choice for functional, strong prints, but bed adhesion needs tuning. If you're coming from PLA, be ready to adjust your Z-offset or use bed adhesives to prevent prints from lifting. Once dialed in, the results are fantastic! ✔ Best For: Strong, durable prints with a sleek solid grey finish. ❌ Not Ideal For: Beginners expecting PLA-like adhesion without adjustments. 👉 Overall: 4/5 – Reliable PETG filament once tuned, with a great solid grey color!

Great results, but you need to get your settings honed in first
This was my first ever PETG filament, but as I have been getting amazing results with their PLA+ filament I thought I would try eSuns PETG. I have to say that 1st impressions were not good, I was really struggling to get good results at first, with problems with bad adhesion, blobbing, stringing, layer adhesion etc, however I now know this was all down to my configuration and not the filament. I am using and Ender 3D V2, and Cura as my slicer. After many different attempts I found that downloading eSuns material profile for PETG helped, but after some trial and error I find the optimum print temperature for my printer is 138 (profile default is 145) I guess there is some tolerance in the temperature calibration of different printers. I also found you have to print fine and slow. I have made the following adjustments to the default Cura Dynamic Profile 0.16 layer height 0.2 for 1st layer Build Plate 70 Print Speed 30 Wall, Top/Bottom Speed 15 Initial Layer Speed 15 Number of slower layers 5 Cooling 20 Ironing I also had to get me e steps and bed level spot on, any under extrusion really showed on large flat areas. I use the smooth side of a textured glass build plate, and cote with basic watered down PVA glue, for perfect adhesion when printing, but once cooled the print just falls off with no prizing required. So it took a fair bit of trial and error, but the results are now amazing, with very shiny and smooth top and bottom layers.

Prints good PETG!
I've been using this 1.75mm PETG filament for a few projects lately, and I have to say, it's been a solid performer. The print quality is really impressive; the details come out crisp, and there's a nice shine to the finished products that adds a professional touch.

Working well, reliable.
A couple of tests and the magic numbers became apparent. (Not that they are any secret they are pretty much what is recommended on the box), but just so it can be said to have been done, printer is just an Anet A8, no particular mods, bed is blue painters tape. Bed temp 80c throughout (this was to overcome warping but I feel I will be able to modify this with geometry changes to the items). Extruder temp 240c. Nothing fancy or special but I do find with this type of filament, especially if you are manually levelling the bed is to set that base layer layer very very small, almost having the nozzle scraping the blue tape, but much lower than I would for PLA or ABS. It seems to want to be hard "piped" onto the surface. That being said I'm not needing any stick glues or proprietary adhesion helpers. PETG always (to me) seems somewhat prone to stringing but those settings will be something you fine tune for your own set up. So tl:dr Bed 80c. Extruder 240c. Tight bottom later. Will buy again, consistent, quality product from a manufacturer I have found to be so in the past.

flows cleanly, prints well, feels almost OEM in my P1S
I bought the black version of this petg filament to use on my P1S and to be quite frank I've found the compatibility in my opinion to be at least equivalent to the OEM branded stuff - I slightly miss the convenience of the RFID tags - but the performance is very similar with the generic profile. I opened the vac-pack, popped it onto the heated print bed at 60c for 5 hours and then popped it into my AMS - it flows super cleanly, with only the very minimal stringing. It really sticks like crazy to my PEI bed surface though, and I find that for the easiest removal I have to remove it whilst still slightly warm - it's almost glued on when it completely cools.

eSUN PETG Solid White - Horrid Widely Variable Results - Wet Filament Received!
This is not going to be a good review of the eSUN Solid White PETG filament. I purchased 3 spools, fulfilled by Amazon, that arrived next day. Needed for a specific job. Having used eSUN filament before I had no hesitation selecting this. The experience is a tale of woe! Spool 1 - Initially had troubles with it jamming the direct drive extruder. Several cold pulls later I managed to get the filament to flow. So I started the 27hour job. It ran to completion with one horrid layer split which I may be able to repair. But it may face a reprint. Spools 2 and 3 - I launched the next 26hour job and within the first layer it had jammed the extruder! I performed a couple of cold pulls and tried again. Same thing. So I ran some Extrusion tests at various temperatures. Each time the filament came out knobbly and brittle - classic wet filament! Just to check it wasn't my machine I ran the same tests with PLA, PLA+ and two different brands of PETG - all of which came out as you'd expect; smooth, no bumps or blisters and not at all brittle! Right now I am drying one of the two eSUN spools to see if that makes any difference. If not then all three spools are going back for refund!

Badziewie
