I've done many of hours of research on component cable brands, trying my best to get the best bang for my buck. Every retro gaming enthusiast will tell you these are the holy grail and everything else is just compromising and they are correct. That said if you have access to some old brands like Monster, you'll do just fine with them. Buying brand new cables with warranty and support and no other competitive brand really exists. I've purchased other well shielded cables from the likes of monoprice and every single one of them has one of the following issues: 1. Stiff cables that make it very difficult to plug in to your peripherals 2. Overly loose or death grip connectors...I find the loose ones worse because if you adjust your setup just once, everything goes to crap. 3. Poorly plated connectors. Literally the metal plating on the plastic tips came off a well known brand...rendering em useless. 4. Super thick wires. I can't tell you how many cables I have...at least 40 component wires. After a while they start to take up a lot of space to the point where I cant even comfortable position my tv stand against the wall. HD retrovision take up by far the least amount of space 5. Lastly, questionable shielding. You never know if the shielding is any good or if you have any signal degredation until you plug it into a scaler. It really is hit or miss with some cables and with HD retrovision you will always have the best quality, no questions asked. If you can find some high quality old school cables for super cheap, I wouldn't blame you. That said, just buy these anyway and work towards replacing everything because these things are just so easy to use and work amazing.

I currently use this cable as a link between my Component switch box and my Component Upscaler (RetroTINK 5x Pro). I was always a skeptic when it came to "paying for expensive cables" because I never thought that it mattered. I was one who always used cheaper cables and never saw a lot of issues. When I purchased these cables, I was very satisfied with the quality and feel of them, as well as the output quality. These cables are made correctly and output a clean picture. They do not have a "death grip" on the component ports on my switch box or on my upscaler. I would recommend HD Retrovision for all cable needs.

I really like these HD Retrovision Cables ! They are very well built, but not over built like some other cables on here I've read about ( no stiff cables or death grip connectors ) and are worth every penny ! Don't have to worry about breaking stuff.... These specific Male to Male Component cables are being used on my ( S-Video + A/V Composite Modded ) Atari 2600 Console + RetroTink 2x Pro combination....with excellent results ! My other cable I have from HD Retrovision is being used on my original Super Nintendo ( SNES ) Console ( Also works with my original Nintendo 64 - N64 Console ) + RetroTink 2x Pro combination....with excellent results also !

Very high build quality. Nothing to compare it to visually, but have only read great things. Expecting this to last a very long time and the break-out design at the end makes handling it very easy

Great for component switchers that have multiple consoles hooked in. Also works for devices with component out like old Blu Ray/DVD players.
