Well worth it!
I bought this chest rig for my ak kit sadly unlike started in the reviews ak magazines do not work properly the flaps do not close but my ar15 magazines fine perfect. Material is stronger than anything else i have nothing to compare it too would last any test you put it through. Also im about 5,11 200 pounds and it fits jist fine. Highly recommend!!

Solid, but small
I was very pleasantly surprised by this rig; mine appears to be unissued old stock and is virtually brand new, so that was awesome.I was also surprised to find that it’s made entirely of tough cordura nylon, which is more durable and water resistant than canvas, so that’s just fine.I mentioned this rig is small: I’m 5’11”, with a 42” chest and a 32” waist, so I’m a squarely medium sized man. I had to let the side straps almost all the way out to fit the rig comfortably on my body, and that’s without armor. I dunno, maybe these come in different sizes and I got a small…Of note: the buckles for the side straps are like those found on Vietnam-era LBE, and are prone to breaking, especially as they age and become brittle. I’m planning on replacing them with updated hardware at some point. These buckles make the rig much easier to don and doff than a Type 56 or 63 chest rig though, so that’s much appreciated.I’m running 7.62 AK mags in this rig, and though the pockets are tight and the mags stick out the top, they do fit and can be easily drawn. I’ve experimented with pmags, steel mags, poly mags, bakelite mags, and they all fit, but the thicker chunkier mags are best put in the radio compartment. You won’t be able to tuck the flaps in either, just fyi.Overall it’s a nice piece of kit; best with 5.56 mags (as it was intended)

Great, but something to keep in mind
Five stars for quality and being everything that it says it is in the description. But, what I took a chance on in ordering this rig was what the mag pouch capacity was. Nowhere in the description does it say. It holds ONE AR-15 30 round magazine per pouch and they are VERY snug, so just keep that in mind. As I said though, the LBV was exactly as it is described, is in great condition, and arrived on-time.

Old
Clips were all old two broke right after opening package. Product smells like mold.

Very usable system
I liked it so much I bought two one was very well used but comfortable and very useable had some awesome trench art writing on it which I thought was cool the second one was like brand new and dated 1985 so the plastic buckles are very brittle I used some 1 inch snap buckles and replaced the broken ones on mine and it’s awesome well worth the money for sure

Awesome for long skirmishes
Awesome vest. Keeps up with all your skirmish needs. 3 day assault pack in the back, with two grenade pouches on the sides, 3 single AK mag pouches, and one double AK mag pouch. Can fit M4 mags as well, but they're pretty deep. I recommend stuffing them with something if you're going to use M4 mags with it. Does have a nice Zahal marking on the inside. Everything is tight when you get it, but once it's broken in, it's fantastic. Highly recommend.

USED is defintely the right term for this
I have been looking for one of these chest rigs for a while now. Figured I would get it since I at least trust Amazon's shipping. The chest rig is not so much well used, but it has had some repairs made that look atrocious. It was done haphazardly just so that it could be sold as a functional unit. They could have at least used the proper color thread, sewn straight lines, or at least trimmed the ends. I don't think its worth the price, but since these are hard to come by, I will have to settle for it.
