I'm so lucky to have found this!
I had almost quit playing bass all together, sold off most of my equipment except for my basses, a 4x10 cab, and an Ampeg combo amp. But recently I began playing bass for a cover band and decided I needed to build a rig back up. I have always heard good things about Eden products so when I saw this amp on Musiciansfriend for $197 in used condition, I had to pick it up. I figured it would just get me by until I really found a bass rig I wanted to invest in.As far as amps go, I doubt that I will ever be investing! I was shocked! This amp is so small, compact compared to most bass amps. The reviewer that said it weighs a lot obviously hasn't dealt with a lot of amp heads because i was shocked at how light it is. I was concerned it would be cheaply made but from what I can tell its rugged and going to last a long time. Good high quality jacks and knobs. Cooling fans do make noise, but nothing worse than other amps or rack fans, so that should be of no concern to anyone. 300 watts is more than enough power. I'm so sick of playing shows and guys rolling in with 16 8s and 3400 watts of power and then running direct out of their amp, thats crazy. The E300 has an enormous amount of power, doesn't sound like a 300 watt amp at all. Massive walls of tone. Plenty of stage volume. Now for my favorite part- the sound. Comparing this amp to my friend's Behringer Ultrabass head, his Workingpro 400 head, my Ampeg combo, and my previous processor/Crown power amp set up, the Eden is BOSS! I plugged it in, set my gain and volume, turned the enhancer to a certain spot and bingo, I was nearly at my tone. A little tweaking with the mid, treb, and bass controls polished it off. Sounds amazing with my Traben Array running into it. Seriously, I've seen a lot of bass amps in my time, played on some nice gear, and while I wouldn't say this is THE best bass head out there, it is sure up there. I was totally expecting a decent sounding little amp that I would upgrade from but I wouldn't trade this thing for the world. It is simply incredible! A lot of punch, a nice thick responsive low end, and very versatile.I wish I could say more about this amp, for the price you are already getting a deal. I can't think of another 300 watt head this cheap. You are also getting a beast! Stripped down controls, small and lightweight, huge sound, just an all-around A+. If you have any urge at all to get this amp, go with it.

Two Stars
Disappointed. Underpowered, annoying ground buzz. It was returned.

Eden E300 - a Decent Amp
So far it seems to be quite solid and reliable, unlike my previous amp, which was the first version of the workingmans 10 (whose power-supply capacitors keep shaking and breaking off), plus a better extension cab. Got the E300 at a reasonable price at Amazon, so it's made in China, but it looks like they've built it there as spec'd by Eden, and to good engineering specs at that.On the other hand, the E300 weighs a fair amount and like all Eden amps, it seems, doesn't have a handle for carrying it. So I found a large computer bag and that so far works quite well for getting it around. My bass rig in fact right now is easier to get around - I can even carry every thing in one trip.I'm only driving one Nemesis 2x10, so not using all the power of the amp, but I could add another cab. Nevertheless, this little set-up is great for a garage band, drums & all, and quite punchy. Its cooling fan is a little noisy but I haven't had any complaints from the rest of the band. And they appreciate the more solid power this amp has.

This is a great sounding head
I go direct from my pre-amp (an Eden WT DI/Pre) and use this for a stage sound...and, there was one gig where the sound guy took me completely out of the PA because I was loud enough on stage. This is a great sounding head. I go into an Eden 4x10....and I'm not necessarily trying to push Eden, but I have found that I usually pick, an dlike, their stuff when I try it out next to others. At some point, I may bump up to the Tone Hammer (Aguilar), but I certainly don't need to, this thing does it all for me. I'm in a classic rock band with two guitars, drums and keyboard...and I'm usually the one they're telling to turn down :-)

good amp..good sound..underpowered for what i need
yes..it is a good amp..sounded nice tone was good..it did not have enough power for what I wanted..it says 300 watts but it just did not have the punch of any 300 watt amp I have ever used..had to send it back..it would be great for studio or a practice amp..live preformance just not enough power..I had to go $200.00 more to get the power I needed for live stage work..GKM500 is what I have now..it dose the job..but don't get me wrong..the eden is a great amp,,like I said for smaller aplications..
