I have 2 male cats and the neighbor's feline has decided to make my residence his de facto home. When the weather is bad - heat above 100, haboobs, rain, cold nights, he's allowed in the house. That makes 3 males competing for territory and the preferred means is spraying. One of my cats, Mike, took to piddling on my bathroom rug rather than using the litter box a mere 4 feet away. This detergent cleaned the rug without damaging it or fading the color. It also seems to have deterred further urination. A week on, and it's still clean. Next: the drapes.
