this was a gift to my son, who was looking for a hot spicy chili that was like the extra hot chili he got at his favorite Thai restaurant. This chili nailed it, super good according to him. I got mom points by finding it

Not as hot as it mentions
Not so hot or spicy as it mentions.

almost expired
debated about buying this one or the brand that seems to be the most common brand (this was about 25% cheaper). When i got the package the expiration date is only 4 months from now. Compared with a pack of dry chili that i bought at local store (those are just the standard red chili but likely have similar shelf life) -- those don't expire until 2023. The point of this is that i would expect a fresh pack to have ~ 2 year shelf life, or at least a year from when i purchase instead of just 4 months.

Good spice and flavor
This is great stuff. Good amount of spice and flavor. Makes a great addition to any Thai recipe. Not incredibly spicy but it will get the job done and if you want more heat you can just add a pinch of ghost pepper or carolina reaper powder

Super hot chili powder for the brave!
I love spicy food. I love Thai cuisine because it is spicy. This chili powder is EXACTLY like the chili powder that is offered at every restaurant, food stall, and street food stand in Thailand. It will melt your face off! I’m in love with this chili powder. It has become my newest obsession! If you love super spicy anything, a little sprinkle of this condiment and you’ll be in scovile unit heaven!

Spicy!
I love it. I use it to make all kinds of dishes at home. It is amazing and spicy. Not all chili powder I have bought is as spicy. It goes so great with any Thai dish as well as any stir fry or fried rice. Love it!

Indistinct Flavour, Very Little Heat
Flavour was almost nonexistent except for a hint of bygone mustiness. Heat was about on par with a young jalapeño. Possessed none of the qualities of a birdseye chili pepper. I will just go back to drying my own peppers.
