The Amazing Quality Dish Network VIP 211z HD Satellite Receiver

Added extra receiver as part of my system. Had to contact tech center for help on my end and they talked me thru it. Most people would have been able to hook this up on their own but I had a issue with antenna. 5 Stars

It was nice and everything worked with one exception. The HDMI output did not work. I am not certain the receiver was to blame as my old receiver did the same thing. The seller handled the return in an excellent way.

Item exactly as described. Purchased for use as second unit in home. I do not have Dish Network's fancy-smancy hopper system, but own my own equipment, including antenna. This second unit allows me to watch a separate channel in my bedroom than what is being watched in the living room. Installation was pretty straight forward and activation of the unit onto my account was a 15 minute process with Dish Network customer service rep. It costs $7/month for the additional receiver on my account. I can also take either of my 2 units camping using a portable antenna system of my choosing that is functional with Dish Network. Unit and remote look brand new. Just make sure the Smart Card is fully seated in the slot prior to turning the unit on or you will get an error on screen.

Terrible product didn’t work and seller and AMAZON wouldn’t refund cost. TERRIBLE, do not buy from this seller! You have been warned.

Purchased remanufactured from dish. Checked and the software was already up to date. 7 dollars added per month to my existing account and can cancel at any time and reactivate at any time. I don’t know what the charge is if you are not already an existing customer. I was able to add a 4 year square trade warranty at the time for an additional 9 dollars for my peace of mind. Set up was pretty much as described on other reviews. The most time spent on this was getting in contact with dish for questions and not having contact with the correct person to answer or activate the receiver. Once the receiver was activated it all went pretty quick. I would by this again. I am considering adding a dvr hard drive so that I can pause and or record programming. They say it is an additional one time 40 dollars to activate a compatible hard drive. Be sure you look at dish specs for this to get the correct drive. Best wishes and good luck!

Comes with the card and all the cables necessary. Only issue is they list a phone number to call in a dozen places (on the box, in the box, on the unit itself, etc) but after going through a bunch of prompts, it tells you to call the normal Dish customer service #

This product came at a great price. Works great. No complaints.
