Wide Brim Sun Hat Outdoor UV Protection Safari Cap for Women

I have a big head (lol) and this hat is comfortable. I like that it’s adjustable. Flattering and lightweight. Blocks the sun on my face. Grey color will go with many outfits. Might order another one in another color. Good purchase.

The main reason I bought this is that previous reviews stated it fits a bit larger than other hats. While I don't have a large head, my hats are a bit too snug.. There is nothing more uncomfortable than having to wear a tight fitting hat in the summer. This hat fits perfectly. I have a little bit of room, but it isn't so much that it's bulky. I would say, though, that if you indeed have a very small head, you might find this too large, unless you have lots of hair and want to wear a small bun on your head. The hat, which I quite like, folds in half, which makes this ideal to stick in a beach bag or suitcase. The brim is quite sturdy all the way around and doesn't have that wire around it which can make it look lopsided. This brim is sturdy and perfectly round. Because it can fold flat, the back of the hat comes down a little bit for better neck protection, but not so much that it comes down to your neck/back. I love the mesh on both sides of the brim and the hat is made very well. I would recommend this hat for anyone looking for a serious sun protection hat that is comfortable, easy to pack and well made.

Total Sun Protection.I love the hat. The brim is wide and there's a drawstring so you don't have to worry about the wind. There are two side vents so your head will be cool. My head is fairly big plus I wear my hair up with a big clip and I was able to adjust to my liking with the elastic in the back. The description says it fits a SMALL head, but I think if you have a big head, it would fit. The material is soft against your skin and there's band of soft fabric works almost like a sweat band around your head. It's well made and I think it will last a long time. It came very quickly.

Best field hat ever! Been wearing these hats for years now. I am a desert wildlife biologist and spend my life in the unforgiving, blazing sun. This hat provides the most sun protection of any style. PERIOD. Keeps my shoulders, back of neck and face shaded. Cannot live without this hat. Bought these two to replace my old, worn ones. Will be using on my upcoming African safari.

Positives: Lightweight, huge shielding brim, seems very well constructed. The color is a pleasing neutral that probably will stay cleaner than a traditional white sun hat (although having a white option would have been nice, too).NEGATIVE: Hat is a little snug - would have preferred a bit more room so head could have more air circulation, thereby staying cooler.The BIG problem with this hat, which right now is an insurmountable defect, is the fact it DOESN'T truly provide complete sun blocking.After unfolding & holding hat aloft, light from the ceiling lightbulb shined liberally thru the large swathe of wide pore netting on the side of the hat. As someone looking for complete sun shade, this is a huge FAIL & am quite disappointed. Been looking in my supplies to see if have anything that might work at covering the opening discretely from the inside -- at present, sadly, am contemplating returning the hat.Don't understand why the heck such a bad "breathing" fabric was chosen given defeats the essential purpose of wearing a SUN hat (for most people)... So very, very disappointed!Update: Kept the hat as a spare & wore on a cool, partly cloudy day. It offers great shade, but the hat continues to feel to snug -- the cord is virtually unnecessary because even with wind, this sucker is not coming off...For $15 it serves its purpose in limited sun conditions. This hat could be perfect -- if there was more room & the netting was remedied. PLEASE DO FIX!UPDATE #2 - Just purchased my 2nd hat. Having extremely difficult time finding hats with wide brims all the way around, so until find one without netting, this is the best I've found out there, especially at this price point. So, while my initial disappointment remains, adding a star.

So it’s not as oversized as it’s made to look in the photo but it does the job protecting my face & neck from the sun. I have a lot of hair - in the photo my hair is in a top knot bun and the hat still fits fine. Really like the OD green color and the long straps.

Well after over 30 hat purchases I finally found the perfect hat! The brim is wide enough to keep the sun off my face while walking without being too crazy big, it’s vented for the Houston heat, it’s adjustable to fit head size and it has a draw string to use on windy days! This hat hit it out of the park so I ordered another one. PLEASE don’t discontinue this gem!!

Love the hat. I tied a silky scarf around the hat. Got tons of compliments. Wore it in the rain. Kept me dry. Great for shading from the sun. Nice sturdy chin strap. The inexpensive price is appreciated.

This is one of the few hats with a wide enough brim to really shade your face properly.
