Diablo Steel Demon Cermet II Saw Blade - 7-1/4" Diameter, 48 TCG Teeth

I mounted this on an old chop saw (miter saw), and it works wonders for cutting through metal. I've used it to cut through mild and stainless steel, up to 1/4 inch thick, and 6061 aluminum. I was surprised at how easily. Cutting through that 1/4 inch steel felt about the same as cutting through a pine 2x4. Quick and easy, with very little downward pressure on the handle during the cut. And the cuts are clean and smooth.My chop saw spins at 5000 RPM, and this diablo blade is rated at 5800, so it has been a good combination with no problems. Exceeding the max of 5800 may very well cause problems such as dulling the blade, so keep that in mind if your saw spins faster, and many do.While researching this blade, one reviewer commented that it is good for cutting through metal when the entire blade width is in contact with material. However, it is not good for shaving material off the end of a piece, as is commonly done to make a piece of wood just a little shorter. I can confirm that it's not good for this when cutting steel, as it creates a lot of vibration, and I was concerned that even a tightly retained piece could be sent flying. But for cuts down the middle of a metal piece, it's great.Since I'm too lazy to switch it out for a wood blade to make the occasional wood cut. I can confirm that it's a perfectly adequate wood saw. Not the best for making furniture grade cuts, but just take your time going through wood, and you get a clean enough edge for your rough cuts.

Excellent blade! Cuts 14 gauge metal like butter. I strongly suggest a face mask for the metal chips! Eye protection is absolute must

Cuts sheet metal like butter! Wish I had bought one of these years ago.

Worked great. Cut through metal roofing panel like butter. I even cut several 2x4's thereafter then needed to cut more metal roofing panels and it did not fail me. Definitely wear goggles and ear protection as metal flakes fly far (long sleeves with tight cuffs help) and cutting metal is really loud. Would recommend.

I have an Evolution saw, but it is big and heavy, and cumbersome to use. I got the Diablo D0748CF and installed it on my typical wood cutting circular saw. This blade cuts amazingly. Cuts are clean, burr free, smooth and effortless. I have cut approximately 50 feet of 18G sheet steel, and the blade still performs like brand new. I do not know how long the blade will last, because I have only just got it. I would definitely recommend this blade for metal cutting.Update: This is a great blade, but the life is relatively short. After about 75' of 18G sheet steel, the blade got dull and would not cut.

I was skeptic after watching the promotion videos for this saw because of how easily it looked like it cut and I planned on cutting 1/2” steel plate. Well long story short I am completely blown away and will be a lifelong buyer. Currently I have cut 109” of 1/2” steel plate and the cut quality and time are amazing! I also cut 1/2” plate at a 45 deg so effectively about 3/4” plate, no problem. The sawn edge looks like it came off a large plate saw. Cuts about 16” per minute new (1/2” plate) and slows down around 50” of cutting. My last cut was 7.5” long (completing the 109” total) and took less than a minute. Only have one broke tooth and that was because the plate bowed while cutting and the saw bound so not the blades fault.

Haven't used it yet, but have used their blades before, and they perform really well, so no reason to think this 1 won't.
