Effective, Easy to Use, and Worth It
Pros: Very effective—improves breathing strength Solid quality and durable build Two mouthpieces included No setup required, very easy to use Portable and practical fitness tool Cons: Pricey compared to alternatives Overall, a totally effective tool for anyone wanting to improve respiratory performance. I’ve tried different breathing devices before, but this one is hands-down my favorite. It’s completely effective and totally functional—I’ve already noticed a real difference in my breathing strength. The resistance is strong, and the quality of the device itself feels solid. It comes with two mouthpieces, which is a big plus. I thought I’d prefer the smaller one, but I actually didn’t, so I was glad to have the second option. Super easy to use, no setup required—just pick it up and go. Now, I wouldn’t call it the best value for the money because it’s not cheap, but it is worth the price if you’re serious about improving your breathing strength. (I am not an athlete, just getting started at the gym)

Very powerful. Highly recommend.
My doctor advised me to get this due to some complications I was having after pneumonia. It comes with an app that is interactive, works well, and helps you with the timing of breathing and how deep to breathe. Very well thought out, really cool product.

A mixed bag
I'm a speech language pathologist who has used expiratory muscle strength training with some of my patients with swallowing disorders. When I heard about the Breather Fit during a continuing education unit (the presenter wasn't affiliated with the company and discusssed a variety of products from various manufacturers), I was curious and decided to check it out since I am also a recreational runner. The breather fit is both an IMST (inspiratory muscle strength) and an EMST (expiratory muscle strength) devuce. I found that the research on respiratory muscle strength training for athletes primarily focuses on inspiratory muscle strength and has generally found modest improvements in various areas including performance, although the research is far less compelling than the use of EMST in swallowing. I was still curious, so I purchased a Breather Fit, and I've been following the protocol for 2 weeks, since March 10th. Above, I have attached my Garmin watch's estimate of my VO2 max. Watches are not particularly good at calculating a precise VO2 max, so take the above with a grain of salt. You will see that coming off a long winter of dealing with snow, ice, and an injury, I had lost some fitness. Starting within days of when I began using the Breather Fit I regained it and then some. It should also be noted that I started training harder at that time as well, so it's impossible to say how much of the gains were due to the breather fit vs. training. I will say that my estimated VO2 max is higher than it was even at peak training a couple years ago, and I am noticing less perceived exertion at a given pace. Now for the product itself. It does work as advertised for me, although as others have mentioned it feels a little bit cheap in the hand. My main concern is that the protocol specifies that you should be working at a seven or eight out of 10 exertion level. After 2 weeks, even with the Breather Fit on the settings to provide the most resistance, it's too easy unless I cup my hand around the intake and output ports to provide additional resistance. For reference, I'm a woman in my late 30s, living and training at 5,000 ft. The app leaves a lot to be desired. It does a decent job of walking you through your daily exercises by telling you when to breathe in and breathe out and timing your 1 minute rest break between sets. However, for the first time in my life I have actually sort of wanted some notifications; it doesn't have the ability to remind you to do your exercises, although it can email you if you miss a few days. The protocol also specifies that you should not use the breather fit on days that you compete or have a hard work out, but there's no way to tell it that you're skipping a day for that reason, which is annoying if like me you enjoy seeing a perfect streak. As you can see in the screenshot above, the handy little infographic showing you how many tasks you've completed and how many breaths you've taken doesn't work, as I've done all of my sets for today but it's still saying zero. Contrary to some of the older reviews, however, there is an Android app. All in all, I would say that this product is worth checking out if you're an athlete looking for that extra little edge or just easier-feeling workouts It's not a miracle device (don't look for me in the 2024 Summer Olympics), but it may be that boost you need if you want to eek out a PR this year.

Pretty Good Respiratory Trainer
Seems to be excellent for what it was designed to do. Easy to use and clean.

Device Fine / Customer Service and Associated App Are Poor
I have had the Breather Fit for about three weeks now, and the device probably does what it is supposed to do, but it is somewhat difficult to judge at this early juncture. However, there are two primary problems associated with the Breather. First, the videos on the Breather app (at least the iOS version, perhaps the Android version is different) are not particularly explicit in how, exactly, one should use the Breather. For instance, in one video, the trainer tries to explain how to use one's belly in order to breathe correctly; however, the large subtitles, which cannot be removed, completely block the trainer's abdomen prohibiting one to follow his instructions. Another example is that the instructions are never clear as to just how deeply one should breathe on each repetition, and sometimes the instructor breathes normally, if not perfunctorily, during explanations. Because of this, I was unclear as to whether or not I should be able to fill my lungs completely on each repetition. I therefore wrote to customer service via the email provided in the instruction manual. The response I received after several days of silence was "Thank you for your email, and we are happy to assist you" with links to training videos included, none of which answered my question, which simply required a "yes" or "no" response.

Powerful little device that offers many benefits
I love this simple yet powerful little device. I'm 42 and have been training in Taekwondo and other activities, such as running, gym and general life, and I noticed I was gasping out much quicker than I wanted. I bought this, and I've noticed a beneficial change in just one week of using it. I've also noticed it changes my headspace, producing a very calm and steady state of mind after just 5-10 minutes of use. I think everyone should have one of these in their life, as it will help not only their cardio and lung performance but also their mental and emotional health. At this low price point, I can't recommend it more highly.

Disappointing Experience: Breather Fit Health & Wellness Natural Device Falls Short
As someone invested in health and wellness, I recently decided to explore the Breather Fit Health & Wellness Natural Device in hopes of finding a solution to improve my overall well-being. Unfortunately, my experience with this product left much to be desired, as it failed to deliver the promised benefits and fell short of my expectations. The primary issue I encountered with the Breather Fit device was its lack of efficacy. Despite following the recommended usage instructions diligently and incorporating the device into my daily routine, I did not notice any discernible improvements in my health or well-being. Whether I was seeking relief from stress, improved breathing, or enhanced relaxation, the device did not seem to have any noticeable impact on my physical or mental state. Another aspect that contributed to my disappointment with the Breather Fit device was its lack of transparency regarding its mechanism of action and scientific basis. While the product claims to offer natural health benefits through breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, the information provided regarding its functionality and efficacy is vague and unsubstantiated. As a discerning consumer, I value products that are backed by scientific evidence and clear explanations of how they work, and unfortunately, the Breather Fit device fell short in this regard. Furthermore, the overall quality and design of the Breather Fit device left much to be desired. The device itself felt flimsy and poorly constructed, lacking the durability and reliability I would expect from a health and wellness product. Additionally, the user experience was less than optimal, with cumbersome controls and an unintuitive interface that made it difficult to navigate and use effectively. In summary, my experience with the Breather Fit Health & Wellness Natural Device was disappointing and underwhelming. Despite my hopes for finding a natural solution to enhance my health and well-being, the device did not provide the results I was seeking and did not seem to offer any tangible benefits. From its lack of efficacy and transparency to its subpar quality and user experience, the Breather Fit device fell short on multiple fronts, leaving me feeling frustrated and disillusioned. As a result, I cannot recommend this product to others seeking genuine improvements in their health and wellness journey.

I believe this would be great for athletes
This is a great product but I actually ordered the wrong one and I did return it. And I got the one for singers. This was in no way their fault and the one I bought was by the same company and it was great. If you were an athlete I think this would probably be a wonderful tool for you

Great device, as advance from Breather
I felt that I had outgrown the [basic, dare I call it?] Breather, finding probably some benefit of course, but I had the settings on maximum for several weeks, increased reps and sessions - so time to look for something more. The B.Fit is the next logical step, as I'm a SCUBA diver [experienced now], seeking to enhance my dives with better breathing control and ability: so, this is my 2nd day, and feel comfortable on setting 2, used for the first time this morning: no puffing of the cheeks, in control, building from a conservative 10 reps: this device is great, giving me a range to work through far better than the Breather, so an indication that I am in none too bad shape, but also work to do. This is an easy-to-use bit of kit, simple controls, light-weight and not difficult to maintain - the website again is straightforward, with a series of instructional videos that take you through the how-to + give some background [not fully explored as yet, but very promising]. An added bonus I feel, right now with our not-so-friendly virus around is the development and maintenance of good respiratory practice, an awareness of your own breathing 'norm' and increased resilience generally - particularly as this virus primarily targets respiratory entry and effects - all things that may just be of real benefit, and so easily done - I'd recommend working through the Breather first, and seeing how that suits - but use an understanding health professional if you feel unsure. Good Health!

Great product!
I tried this and was skeptical but after 2 weeks of use, my ftp increased as well as my vo2 max by a small margin. I definitely recommend for those with asthma like me but want to breathe stronger.
