You can use Mg chemicals 99.9% alcohol to clean..or ABRO contact cleaner..or WD40 contact cleaner..FLUX is also easily cleaned by warming the board up a little and then use the alcohol with a brush to clean.. **Q: I see different 63/37 kester types of solder. what is diff. between rosin core (i know what this is), organic core, no-flux core?** A: Just so you know "Water Soluble" flux is highly corrosive... You might think it's safe as it's called organic/water soluble, but it will strip you tin within hours if you don't completely clean it. It melts so much easier and flows so much better than every solder I have used it the past. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bare Minimum High-Quality Rosin Flux *by M***L on June 19, 2025* Kester 245 is a very clean high-quality solder, with a minimum size core (1.1%) of halide free low activity flux (ROL0, per J-STD-004B). I use it when I'm using supplemental liquid or gel flux, (which I don't want to mix with my standard go-to Kester 44's flux). Kester 245 leaves the least amount of non-acidic residue.
