Potted Plant Mover

Excellent Product, have enjoyed it ease of use. Very helpful for all who have weak backs or legs. Does not work on all plant pots but does work on most of them. Will recommend it to anyone.

I gave this as a gift to my Father. He says it is quite helpful. He has a bad back and many large plants he was trying to get into a wheelbarrow to move around so I am thankful he will not be lifting quite as much. This looked like the most sturdy of all the others I researched so I am very pleased.

Must say that it was delivered on time as promised. Am a bit disappointed with this expensive product. The top handle swivels quite a bit and can 'get away from one', which creates an issue. I thought I would get it to assist with some handicaps. Thought this would be easier than a small handtruck I have. Loaned it to a friend, who has no disabilities and he reported the same disappointment with the 'swiveling'. Great concept, just a bit disappointed. Would have been $100 to the plus side if I had stayed with my handtruck cart.

I gave this to my wife for her birthday. She immediately had me move a large 10' potted tree from one side of our house deck to the other...up and down stairs too. I had moved this tree before and it was a back-breaking struggle. With the "Potted Plant Mover" I was able to do it with relative ease. My wife has also moved some smaller plants with it and just loves it. The "trigger release" handle makes the connection to the pot easy and secure. If I had any additional design wishes, I would like the upper pot-grabbing arms to be adjustable in and out...perhaps using the same release grip. But this is a minor issue. The broad width and large wheels make moving a large pot a breeze.In all, this product has proven to be a real back saver!

I also was unable to properly secure the handle, and the hole to secure the handle to the base was non existant! After my son drilled a hole to connect the handle to the base he was able to move a few pots before the handle came completely apart. We could not fix the handle so we threw the mover in the trash.Overall a very unsatisfactory product.

For the most part, it is a good design. Employees good leverage. But it has a fatal flaw. The handle comes in 2 pieces and must be assembled. No problem as the top part simply screws into the lower part and is supposedly held in place by 2 hex screws. However the bottom half of the screw assembly is pressed in and rotates so the handle never feels secure because it rotates to the right or left and is never in proper position. It drives me crazy, especially when moving a heavy plant. Since the screw assembly is pressed in, there is no way to fix it.

This really helped when I had to move my outside pots for winter. Easy to assemble. The reason for 4 stars is that the handle does not lock in place. Rather it slips on. So it swivels occasionally. Still a helpful tool. BTW. This is fulfilled by Sharper Image. In their catalogue the price is $149. Here it's $60. Something wrong with them.
