The "Bamboo Stick" is actually very helpful because it is much stronger than others I have used. If you used long wooden cotton swabs to clean a firearm, you know that they break easy and just get you frustrated because to clean well you need to put some pressure. These are strong and they bend a bit before they break but there are a couple of things that I did not like.1) Why in the world you would make cotton swabs that only have cotton on one end of the stick??? I did not realize this by looking at the picture of the box because they are laying opposite to each other in the box and somehow the lower part of the picture escaped my attention before I ordered them. This makes them too expensive compared to others because if they had cotton on both ends, you would use half the quantity you need to use now for every cleaning.2) The cotton end is too thick for some parts of a firearm. The cotton is about 1/4 to 1/3 thicker than the usual cotton swabs and while this may sound to someone like a good idea (the more cotton the better), the truth is that firearms have small cavities that gather a lot of carbon and these swabs will not fit to clean them well. For example, I use cotton swabs to clean the trigger mechanism on my Tanfoglio pistols that gather a lot of powder but these will not fit to go all the way to where the carbon is accumulating.I do not know if I will buy them again because of the problem #1. I will have to keep using some of the short cotton swabs and use these only in places that those will not reach.

Li trovo fantastici, uso sempre entrambe le estremità, l'estremità appuntita è molto solida, avevo paura che si piegasse, è ottima per pulire gli angoli interni o altre fessure strette. L'estremità arrotondata è anche robusta e fa il suo lavoro. Ci vorrà un po' per finire l'intera confezione, ma sicuramente li comprerò di nuovo.

These are hands down the best cotton swabs ever. From the flexible bamboo shafts to the tight and excellently shaped buds they are perfect for so many uses. I don’t own a gun but in craft, modelling & so many other areas they are my go-to swab.
