Wow, this little gadget works so well! I was skeptical as it seemed too gimmicky to be true, knowing how fragile eggs are (and even more so the yolks), but I have been astounded at how easily and well this thing works. Prior to getting this, I was a disaster at cracking raw eggs without breaking the yolk, probably having only a 50% success rate. I've now opened over a dozen eggs with this tool, and every time the yolk has poured out perfectly intact into the frying pan, ever since my first try. You may need to pull the striker 2 or 3 times to get it to form a cap that is fully separated and can easily be removed from the rest of the shell, but it's easy to feel when the tool has done its job as it will sink ever so slightly into the rest of the shell at that point. Key thing is to hold the tool in exactly the same place on the egg, between successive striker pulls. And it stays clean, no need to wash it after use. I actually enjoy using this little device and couldn't recommend it more highly!

Dude it works- It cracks the top- Never would have thought it actually works but as someone who accidentally cracks eggs and spills every time, this is a godsend.

My mom saw this on tiktok and wanted it. It works mostly. You have to control how hard you hit it. Inconsistent results. But when it does work, it does make near perfect cracks. But I don't see her ever using it.

All my life I’ve eaten 6 minute hard-boiled eggs in an egg cup, and I never knew such a product existed! It perfectly cracks the shell at the top, allowing you to remove the shell easily (but for lesser cooking times when the white is softer, it removes the entire top of the egg) and enjoy with a demitasse spoon, and to add seasonings. No more tiny bits of shell getting into your egg. Buy this! If you enjoy eating eggs this way, this tool will make it more enjoyable! BTW, there is another version of this tool on here that is more expensive, but this one works better!!

Works well, cracked the eggs in a circle on top and you just pop it off like a little hat. Keeps the rest of the shell intact. Very neat little tool ! I used this on raw eggs. And used the eggs shells for plants and candles.
