Perfect Bass Strings.
Well made! I've been using these for years and years. Actually, these are all I use now in both my acoustics and electrics. 60 to 80 shows per year and they last all year! Durable, feel great and they sound fantastic!!

Great fretless sound, smooth and easy on the fingers.
I had been using flatwound strings on my ‘78 Precision fretless for years but had grown frustrated with what I’ll call their “dull” sound: compared to the round-wounds on my fretted P-bass they had no spark. I heard about tape-wound strings and had read they could bring some brightness without chewing up my fingerboard so decided to try these. And I love them, they are super smooth under the fingers but have a brighter sound than my flats, and wow are they easy to play. And they sound great too, with good pick-ups they can punch right through the mix. They seem very well-made and durable, plus the black strings on my maple fingerboard give things some visual pop. I am converted now, only LaBella tape-wounds going forward. Recommended!

Strings for getting deep
Great strings, smooth and strong sound with a very buttery feel on the fingers while still giving that nice low tone. Very strong as well!

Gorgeous sounding strings
I ordered these strings for my Fender Jazz bass and I'm glad I did. I had on the "Rotosound RS77M Jazz Bass Monel Flatwound" strings for about a year and a half and they were starting to sound not as flatwounds should. So I decided I wanted to switch to La Bellas based off all the overwhelmingly positive reviews I've read. First set of LaBellas I got were for my Hofner bass and I was beyond pleased with the La Bella tone and feel. So I decided to pick up a set of Black Nylons for my Jazz bass because they essentially sound like and feel like flatwounds. Plus I always thought black looks super cool. These strings play like gold. I thought my La Bella flatwounds for my Hofner were as smooth as butter, but these feel EVEN smoother. The tone these Black Nylons produce are so beautiful and warm sounding. Gives it a nice fat bass tone I was looking for. It's rad, the threading on the top of the strings are Purple, very cool looking. I've had these strings on for about a week and the more I play and break them in, the better sounding they are getting. It's amazing how that works. It's VERY safe to say I will NOT be experimenting with any other strings for my Jazz bass. I found what I'm looking for. La Bella really outdid themselves with these strings. One thing to note for those who are considering switching to Nylons but are on the fence about it: These strings feel unlike anything you've probably ever played before. If you've played with Flatwounds before, that would be the closest to understanding how smooth and rich the tone of these string are. Even then, these play much smoother than any Flatwounds I've ever played. These stings are NOT meant to sound bright, or to slap and pop with. You wanna get plain ol' roundwounds for that. However, if you're looking for a deep, rich bass sound that will cut thru the mix without being overpowering, these are most definitely for you. I can't say enough good things about these strings. I'm glad I bought them and as I said, I am sticking with La Bella for life.

La Bella 760N Black Nylon Tapewounds – Smooth, Comfortable, and Great for Acoustic Bass
These La Bella 760N black nylon tapewound strings look fantastic and feel super smooth under your fingers. They have that clean black appearance that just looks really classy. In terms of brightness, they’re definitely on the darker, warmer side, which is exactly what you’d expect from tapewounds. They’re super comfortable to play and feel like a high-quality upgrade from other tape strings I’ve tried. They fit my acoustic bass perfectly and brought a whole new tone compared to the old bronze strings, so they’re definitely versatile. I haven’t tried them on an electric bass yet, but for acoustic, they’re perfect. The tension is great—not too floppy—and they were easy to install.

THE BEST FOR THIS TYPE OF SOUND
I regularly record electric bass guitar on original music in our Florida based recording studio. Most of the time I like Rotosound bass strings on my three Fender basses but every now and then a song calls for a darker less brilliant sound. These La Bella strings sound really good, they have enough high frequency to make clear notes and massive bottom end tone. They are really easy on your fingers too. I only took off a star because of the limited sound these have, you're not going to get clarity from these. That dark tone is not my favorite and I don't love it, I use it because some songs call for it. Then again they're not intended for bright sound, If you need quality tape wound bass strings these are the ones to try. Good music to all!

AMAZING sound
I LOVE these strings. I Had no idea what a difference there was in the sound of your bass with different strings. For decades Ive just been playing with normal bass strings, but I got these and on another bass I have I got flat wound strings and they both had VERY different sound. These are super deep and smooth and warm. Almost sounds like a stand up bass. Worth a try if youve never used.

Used these on a fretless semi-acoustic bass. They give a beautiful deep warm tone, and the mwah is something else! I would definitely buy again, can't recommend them highly enough. You won't be disappointed.
