Either I got a bad batch of floss or I have higher expectations than most.The fabric is decent, generally even, and rather stiff...I like it.The floss on the other hand is terrible. The most uneven dye lot I have ever seen. I had chaff in some of my thread. The thread binds, piles, and sheds unlike anything I have ever used. I even had a strand disintegrate from the friction of the fabric. It's also prone to snapping once it binds. I wasn't even pulling it tight enough, I haven't cross stitched in 30 years, I have a ton of stitches that are lose after knotting the end off.The good?It's cheap, and the pattern is nice. Even with all the problem I had it still turned out well. If you're looking for a cheap, complete, kit to practice with this fits the bill nicely.

Edit 7/2020–I finished my stitching and it is great! Love the final look. I will say I hadn’t realized before buying how many stitches it was—I didn’t know different Aida counts were a thing! This kit is 16-ct (vs 11-ct in many beginner kits). I’m now starting on the other Mt Fuji kit and am looking forward to having my pair of finished canvases framed and hanging on the wall. Very well designed kit, and I am definitely planning on getting more from this company in future.Original post: Just got this and so far so good! The canvas isn’t fraying, and the threads aren’t snagging or knotting up. The threads are pre-organized, and the instructions are clear. I really like that the pattern is large-print, colored as well as symboled to make it very easy to see what you’re doing. All in all a nice little kit for keeping myself occupied. After sewing a couple hours I actually ordered the companion Mt Fuji kit as well.

Once I finally got started on this project, I have been having a great time. Definitely do this in the light, the differences between the colours are subtle. Overall it seems to be a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to finish and frame it.While it's not a huge deal, I deducted 1 star because the chart has a mistake that was extremely frustrating and I wanted to make sure people knew: COLUMN 2 ONLY HAS 9 SQUARES ACROSS. It is not 10x10 like it should be. It doesn't affect the flow of the image, but it was frustrating when I was trying to figure out why my count wasn't working.

The media could not be loaded.  I am having a nice time stitching this cross stitch project. The graphic it is easy to read, the instructions are easy to follow, there is only 9 colors, I like that and there is stich you do with one strand and others with two strands given dimensions to the picture.

I got this for my 14 year old daughter to work on during these stay-at-home times. The fabric and thread quality are good, though she chose to use a different needle from the one included. She especially likes that there is very little backstitching required. Beautiful picture! Highly recommend.

I have been cross stitching for the past 7 years. I really like this kit because it is made with good quality fabric and it is fun to do. It is not boring like some other kits and I have been enjoying my time with it so far during quarantine. My one recommendation is that you get pens that wash away with water, so when you get it wet, the ink disappears.

So glad they made these patterns. Just wish it came with a (hoop) because its hard to stitch without the stable border - [but I am aware that I bought an item without a hoop]

The neutral colors might make this difficult for a beginner but it came out so beautiful I'd recommend this kit to anyone!
