this unit dose not get the water hot. I live in Phoenix, AZ. city water comes out of my kitchen faucet at 66 degrees Fahrenheit.at a rate of 3 gallons a minute. I open the hot water tap and I use to run 2& 1/2 gallons of cold water down the drain before the water from my water heater got came out of the tap at a temp of 128 deg. Fahrenheit. This unit only got my cold water temp up too 98 degrees. Warm at the most. So I hooked it up to the hot water line. It provides warm water until the hot water arrives from the hot water heater. Now I don't have to run 3 gallons of water down the drain. What I do like about this unit is it's compact, really easy to hook up and it is 110 voltage. no special wiring. I'll use this unit at the bathroom sink the kids use 98 degrees is not hot enough to scald them when they wash their hands.I am going to replace it with a more powerful unit.
