These cradled wood panels make an excellent surface for painting. No frame required!

I have purchased so many wood panels by U.S Art Supply I lost count a long time ago. In all different sizes. They have always met or exceeded my expectations. I have used them for acrylic and resin pouring, collage, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, and even used them flipped over as a niche. They have not warped or buckled - even with the rigors of acrylic pouring (plain and covered in resin) or watercolor painting. Good quality at a great price with fast delivery. If only they could improve the quality of my art when trying new media! Bottom Line: I highly recommend the wood panels put out by U.S. Art Supply, and I wouldn't recommend something I don't use and love enough to recommend to my friends and family. (Remember, those people know where I live! Haha) These 8x16" panels are no exception. These are priced much better than my local art store and the quality is just as good, if not better. I don't hesitate to buy any size I need from this great supplier. Come to think of it, I've bought many, many supplies from U.S. Art Supplies and have never had an issue with any of their products. The wood panels just happen to be my favorite.

I have ordered A LOT of these really nice cradled wood panels! (I am a full time artist). My last several orders the shrink wrapped panels are put in a box with no padding at all. SO, a corner or two on the wood panel gets flattened a bit. Sometimes the sides get scratched. - MiGHT be an AMAZON issue and not a US Art Supply issue. :(

I have bought these cradle canvases about 4 or 5 times and will continue to do so. The deep cradle 4x12 birch wood canvas is sturdy and is an ideal dimension with that depth for my projects. For the most part the front flat panel is very smooth. However I do use these for some art projects that use the inside cradled portion and I do find that many times some of the wood around the frame is frayed or splintered and requires sanding before priming. Aside from that it's a great quality and surface for paint; I find that 1 or 2 coats does the trick to prime it.

All 4 pieces look to be in good shape. They arrived in just that paper bag though, with no corner protectors or bubble wrap, so there's a chance for damage. I was lucky and mine were just fine. They come with all 4 wrapped in plastic together and then each one is individually wrapped inside that. They have nice, smooth tops. The sides, edges, may need a little bit of hand sanding, to perfect them, but no big deal... will take 2 min to do that. These are the 4"x12" and look perfect for acrylic painting. I love the 1" deep sides. No hanging hardware needed and no framing necessary either. You can just paint the sides. Overall, I'm really happy!!

Moi puis le métrique sa ne s'accorde pas quans j'ai vu les toiles de bas je les croyais plus long pour le prix j'ai étébien déçu
