always a big hit at the dinner table
I grew up eating gulash in Germany and I really missed it. Beef stew here is just not the same! This spice mix is very easy to cook with -- the instructions are on the back and easy to follow even for a rookie cook. The paprika-flavor is strong and the resulting gravy is irresistible. I usually add cubes of potatoes and bell peppers into the stew and they come out so flavorful, I love eating the veggies more than the meat. Doubling or tripling the portions makes for a great dinner party main.

Gulasch tastes just like how mom used to make it.
I used to love it when my mother made Gulasch, Bread balls (dumplings), and German potato salad. It's an old Bavarian recipe that I still eat to this day! I use this seasoning and it just tastes like home! I have passed the recipe to my children, they also love this Old Bavarian Classic!!!! #RipMom

Nice Flavor but a Bit Expensive
This product used to be available in retail grocery stores, but now I can't find it anywhere. I love Knorr's rich spice blend for a real Hungarian Goulash flavor. My only compaint is how expensive it is. Although the recipe is not in English, it is easy enough to add this spice mix to any goulash recipe.

I have purchased this for yrs. but now I can’t find it in stores. So I have to order off Amazon. I like this much, much better than Maggie. I will always be ordering this, so please Amazon keep this product available.

I am a huge fan of goulash and was so excited to try this. Unfortunately it is nasty, no flavour at all. The instructions are in German which is fine, it basically says add an onion , chop and fry in the oil, add the meat then put in a pan/pot with water add packet, cover and cook for an hour, or another 30 mins if meat is not tender. We had to add beef stock, tomato puree, garlic and seasoning just to taste like "something ". Don't waste your money on this product.

This is a hit with my family. The long cooking provides tender meat in a delicious sauce. I add carrots and onions to the mix while it is cooking.
